Flying Elephant Design B - British Shellproof Tank

Description
Background

This is my first public Workshop mod and third ‘successful’ Blender model, so don’t expect a top-quality addon. The other iterations of the Flying Elephant, Design A and the Foster's Battletank will be made soon (excluding the Suggested Flotilla Leader design which is basically the same as the Foster’s Battletank design).

This super heavy tank was invented during the later years of the First World War. The William Foster & Co company based in Britain proposed a few ideas for a heavily armoured vehicle that could survive being attacked by artillery, heavy explosives and quick-firing weapons.

This design, the Flying Elephant Design B, was the fourth and final. The vehicle was supposed to be heavily armed, though the armament specifications were not ultimately confirmed - the main cannon may have been either a 6-pounder (57mm) or a 13-pounder (75mm) and the defensive armament either 6 Lewis machine guns or 6 Vickers machine guns. This mod has the tank armed with the 13-pounder gun and Vickers machine guns.

Though it was only slightly larger than the Mark I tank, the increased armour and subsequent requirement for increased power took a huge toll on the weight of the tank, and it ultimately was estimated to weigh 100 tonnes and have a speed of 2mph (this is increased slightly in-game as the AI will abandon vehicles that are too slow and/or become stuck). The tank was driven by dual 105-horsepower Daimler engines. This gave the tank a power-to-weight ratio of roughly 0.001 hp/lb.

Features
  • Thirteen-pounder (75mm) gun as the main armament.
  • Three pairs of .303 Vickers machine guns covering the left, right and rear flanks.
  • The tank explodes instantly upon death, rather than having a burn timer.
  • Four unarmed passenger seats.
  • Some custom sounds (none made by me - credit goes to their respective authors).
  • Two variants, one where the cannon is operated by a seperate gunner, rather than the driver; another where the driver instead is able to shoot and see from the cannon.

Known Issues
  • Rear AI gunners seem to be less helpful than side AI gunners.
  • Even with slightly boosted speed, the tank may sometimes get stuck, causing AIs to abandon it (I don't want to increase speed to much so it is at least semi-realistic).
  • Tank is visible through fog for some reason.
  • AI drivers have a tendency to drive backwards, depending on how the map's pathfinding is set up.
  • Views from the vehicle can cause textures to be a bit flashy.

In-case anyone also thinks it's a cool mod, it doesn't seem like the driver's seat can be entered currently
