Description
"More Trait Slots" is a pretty simple mod. It doesn't add new traits to the game, but it will work well with mods that do, as it allows you to configure the minimum and maximum number of traits that pawns will start with. It also adjusts the character display tab so that up to seven (or up to nine with a smaller font) traits can actually be seen.

Compatibility:

"More Trait Slots" can safely be added to or deleted from a game in progress, and shouldn't conflict with any other mods.

If you're using "EdB Prepare Carefully," you might see a warning message if you assign more traits to a pawn than the vanilla character tab would be able to display, but you can safely ignore that message. And you should have no other issues when using the two mods together.

@jessefjxm @nana it's not the best work around, but if you go into a pawn's information window (click the 'i' button) and then bio, you can hover over the area beneath the 5 or so traits that are shown, and tooltips will appear for the hidden traits. They are actually there, they're just invisible.

Not with this mod. That would require a complete re-write of the stats/trait window which would make this mod incompatible with any other mods that change the window

Is it possible to add scroll bar on trait UI frame? Currently if you own more than 8 traits you won't be able to see new ones as you can't scroll down.

does this mod interfere with "Individuaity"? they seem to be doing sort of the same thing. probably have to choose one or the other. just a heads up

is there a mod where you can view all traits from pawn info screen?

after like 6 traits rest of them I cannot see what they are

one pawn had pyromaniac in the dark zone :c

Here's a utility that you can use to get the max trait slots if More Trait Slots is loaded

To use:

if (MoreTraitSlotsUtil.TryGetMaxTraitSlots(out int max))
{
// More Traits Slots is loaded and max is the user's max settings
}
// else - either More Trait Slots is not loaded or there was a problem getting the max field

The `max` value is not cached so if the user changes the setting while the game is running, the updated value will be given the next time the method is called.
