About this mod:

Edited LOD ranges for units, so huge battles are not a problem anymore and still look great.

The main reason for massive FPS drops during huge battles in Attila are the LOD ranges for the units.

Now your graphics card should render a lot of soldiers better.


The game was rendering the highest possible unit details from far away and almost in every situation. Now I've made it to render highest quality unit details only when it needs to be rendered - when you are close or zoomed in. The further away your camera is, the simpler unit models there will be.

Someone on reddit said that this mod was fake. It does nothing to change in performance.

What about the smoke particles? Every TW game has performance problem with smokes.

CA claimed it was just an issue with the game being too taxing on "current gen hardware" but ten years later the problems are still there on next next next gen CPU's, so it was clearly a programming issue all along

@PaulPacea That is a CA pathfinding/rendering bug that has been a problem in the engine since Empire TW
