Troll Warlord, having the longest bash in the game, being the only hero that can switch between melee and ranged, and a crazy, global, ult that can add 60/120/180 attack speed every 30 seconds, Troll Warlord is one the most verisitle, hard to kill, heros in Dota.

First thing you should know. Troll Warlord (and Phantom Assassin) HAS THE WORST INTELLIGENCE GAIN IN DOTA. Starting a LOW 13 Intelligence, you only getting 1 point in it every level. This means you have to keep a close eye on your mana pool, saving it for moments that really matter. Also (If you didn't know) Troll (like all the other heroes with natural bashes) cannot buy Skullbasher.

Early Game:
In the begining of the game, you wanna be very defensive and try to avoid as much necessary damage as possible. You're going to mostly use your ranged axes as your main weapon to hurass enemy heroes and get last hits. You should switch to Melee to also to get last hits, but only if the creep is very close to you. If aren't attacking creeps, hurass the hell out of your enemy by hitting him with ranged axes and if he gets close to you, just back up. You can start get rough with other heroes when your W is maxed, and you have your Ult.

Your W's:
Whirling Axes Ranged and Melee are two low-mana abilities with very low cooldowns. Early Game, you're going to be mostly using your Whirling Axes Ranged, getting far away last hits, and to again, hurass the enemy. It is also very good to use your Ranged Axes when ganking and chasing since it has a very good slow.

Your Melee Whirling Axes is his second best ability. It does alot of damage, and cause's enemies to miss their attacks. This is awesome to use in team fights and when you're farming. You and you're allies are less likey to get hit by enemies in fights. Butterfly is really good since it's evasion stacks with the debuff the melee axes gives, making you way harder to hit.

Things to Remeber:
- If the enemy picks Outworld Devourer, be VERY careful not to get hit by his Ultimate.

-When siegeing buildings, wait for the enemy to use their Glyph so that your Ultimate wont go to waste.

-Try not to use your abilites too much when you farm. You can run the risk of not having enough mana to help your allies during a fight on the other side of the map with your ult.

- Try to focus on one enemy hero at a time when in a team fight so that you can build up stacks of Fervor and attack them even faster with your Ult.
