Infinity Pistol - Legendary Weapon Farming Guide

This is simple guide that will show you how to farm a legendary gun that has infinite ammo and can be pretty good in some situations.

Few things before we start

Ininity is a legendary pistol from Vladof. It has infinite ammo and you don't have to reload.
That has good use with skills like Zer0's 0ne Sh0t 0ne Kill. (always shooting first bullet in the magazine means perma 60% buff to gun dmg)
It comes in shock, incendiary, corrosive or without any element.
As for lvl, the lowest I got is 9. (I am pretty sure it was lvl 9)

While it can drop from anything really the best way to farm it is by killing Doc Mercy who is located in Three Horns -Valley.










Before you can start farming him you need to complete mission called Medical Mystery.
You can get it from Dr Zed after you finished Do No Harm from him.
It is available to you when you get to Hunting the Firehawk in main story quest.
Worth to note that while its not needed, it helps a lot to do No Vacancy in order to get fast travel location active.

Also if you are playing as Kraig you are out of luck, in order to make him a good mele character they made him a bit heavier so he wont get pushed away too far by enemies, and that makes it impossible for him to do the trick.

Locations

First you fast travel to Three Horns - Valley and we will get to this spot.

We need to get from there to here, and while its pretty close you have to get through skags then inside the caves and then kill all the bandits inside to finally get to the destination you want.

Here we go!

Now that you are here you noticed how there is steam shooting out of the earth from time to time?
Yup that's what we need, this crater here.

You need to position yourself in a way that will launch you in the air in the right direction.

You might need to adjust it a bit but aiming down and checking those lines is the best way to get it right all the time.(if you dont get enough distance you might want to back away a bit or if it doesn't throw you high enough you want to get closer, few tries should get you going)

If you get it right you will land on the rocks and see Doc Mercy.

From here it is up to your luck. It doesn't drop that often from my exprience, and if you want all elements you are in for a ride.

Be sure to watch out when he drops legendary because it sometimes can fall down.

Agreed. The 1st time you enter the map area itself it will auto-scale to you at the time and permanently be stuck there. ( until you start a new game on higher difficulty )

Yes but its level will remain the same, not scaled to you..

Never did the car trick actually, will try that out in the future for sure.
And yeah when i got lucky I had like 4 drops in a row but still not the element i wanted

It drops about 1 in 3 for me in Normal mode and about 1 in 5 for True Hunter modes but ive done over 30 runs on Ultimate and not once...lol Ive also found another way to get up onto that point of rock above him. I use either of the vehicles and boost into the rock face right where there is a lower section of rock forming a steep but passable ramp. Once up there i can use the vehicle guns to kill Doc Mercy ( i usually take the explosive barrels for the knockback ) and knock him down off the stairway and keep him on ground level...it also brings most of the other enemies to him for easy multikills and minimal chance of even getting shot at. The trick is easier with the truck though as the car accelerates faster and farther than the truck will ( aka you might overshoot the target and land inside the area your enemies are...or back over the rock edge into the skag family )
