INTERNAL NAME: GM_INFRA_ISLE1


This is a port of one of the maps from the game INFRA made by Loiste Interactive, with a bit more from two (!) other maps. This map contains the entire map with the bridge leading to the Stalburg Isle. While most of the isle is not accessible in this map, the docks, warehouses and underground tunnels on it are, while this map also contains the entire abandoned mine from the previous map in the game. So it is pretty big, as far the engine could allow.

So you have one decently big abandoned mine filled with dark corridors and luminescent mushrooms; an abandoned dock and warehouse; a pathway over the water made out of barges; a dockside parking lot; more abandoned warehouses with a hobo shelter or two; an underground water cave; a city street and some alleyways. The map is made to look "pre-blackout", meaning all the lights are on and won't go out while you're playing.

This map port was made with Oskutin's permission, the person who originally made the map, with the support of Loiste Interactive who have graciously accepted to let their game be mounted in Garry's Mod. INFRA truly has the most beautiful maps made in Source, so if you like what you see, please visit the Steam Store page for INFRA and buy it, it's absolutely worth it!

We've adapted the map to GMod, which means the following:

- Fixed and added physical props all over the map
- Kept many scripted events throughout the map: the "elevator" puzzle in the mineshaft, turning lights on or off in one of the worker barges, the falling bundle of steel beams... and Mörkö's appearance
- Removed need for keycards or electronically jammed doors; all the doors that can be opened are open from the beginning
- All the corruption documents are still present

- Working soundscapes for a great sound atmosphere, identical to the game
- Physical props all over the map
- Working cubemaps
- Working original particles
- Optimized as much as possible...
- A lot of functionality!

About optimization: let's be honest, the outdoors area runs pretty badly. I did all I could by adding areaportals to isolate indoors areas and the mine, but there isn't much I can do in the open unfortunately. Sorry but you have to make do with the bad performance outside.

About bots: the map is not fit for bots due to its various level heights and tight spaces. Therefore I deemed useless to make a navigation file and an AI node path file. Sorry about that, but you'll understand those wouldn't be of much use.

Report any bugs you find!

KNOWN ISSUE: some doors are too small to pass through. I've done everything I could to make the player pass through, but for a few doors, it may not be enough. Sorry about that! That's because the player's collision model is smaller in INFRA than in GMod.

btw some of this map's pre packed assets conflict with the assets gained when mounting infra to gmod
