Description
Ah, the ubiquitous Imperial Chimera, now available for your galactic survival needs. This mod contains three variants of the standard frame. Trojan Support variant replaces the turret mounted minigun with a multi-turret for battlefield repair or disassembly operations and is painted in desert colors.

You can find this tank in Cadian Green for forest planets here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1383409872

Features:

• Spacious room for a driver and four passengers*
• One fixed autocannon (minigun)
• A multi-turret for maintaining other vehicles or recycling ones that have failed their duties
• A fully enclosed and armored interior with all of the amenities**
• A harvest enabled container system with 5875 space units
• A motion detecting rear hatch - now with a ramp!
• A switch activated top hatch for launching drone missions
• A pair of detectors for enhanced exploration
• A tow hook for towing damaged tanks out of the heat of battle***

* Spacious is defined by the imperial guardsman handbook, page 327, section 11
** The armor on the Chimera variant is not designed to contain the driver or passengers incase of a crash. Amenities include a constructor, dry and cold storage, a tiny armor locker, and oxygen replenishment.
*** The Trojan Support Vehicle is currently unable to tow anything, please consult the manufacturer for details

Requirements:

Level: 15

Carbon Substrate: 308
Iron: 286
Copper: 324
Silicon: 266
Zascosium: 18
Erestrum: 18
Neodymium: 10
Sathium: 4
Cobalt: 4

Notes:
• This is based off of the Warhammer 40k model by Games Workshop, Tallarn refers to the most famous imperial guard desert world:
• I pretty much use the Trojans as a cheap way to disassemble POIs for blocks
• It has a lot of cargo space - the harvest container alone is the equivalent of 47 small containers, but you will find it fills fairly quickly if you disassemble a capital vessel
• To open the hatch, set the lever below it to the green setting, red to close it (it might need to be toggled the first time after spawn)
• If you get stuck leaving the cockpit, or anywhere, you can enter a passenger seat and exit it and it usually fixes it
• Sometimes hover vehicles (in the alpha) get caught on the water and sink a bit, just use your booster and it will set you on top again.****
• I intentionally did not give them much lateral thrust to make them drive more like tanks. Originally I didn't give them any, but it was like driving a car on a sheet of lard with tires made out of Teflon.

**** The Chimera variants are not designed for driving on top of water features as they are tanks...

The Trojan is now updated - just this color for now. Sadly I can't just recolor it and write over the green one - I have to do all of the edits to that version separately. Anyways, enjoy!

...I never thought of entering a passenger seat to get out faster in that situation...silly me. Thanks for the tip. Looking forward to the updated version.

Thank you for enjoying my Trojan TheBrokeDad. I actually did an update of it a few days ago to make it work with the new cargo containers and weight/space mechanics. I took another look at it and the reason I didn't have any ramps is that the Chimera (what it is based on) is meant to be available at level five (ramps unlock at 7), but this isn't a problem for the Trojan so I added a rear ramp to the motion circuit thanks to your comment.

I should have it uploaded this weekend, but in the mean time, you can always just enter a passenger seat then immediately exit it to get into the vehicle. This should also work if you get stuck in the cockpit - which sadly I can't fix without making the entire tank larger.

Have been using the Trojan version for a few weeks now and really enjoy it. I like having specific vehicles for specific tasks as it adds something to the play of the game that I enjoy. I use this vehicle for support when repairing my other ships, tearing down POIs, or even tearing down my mothballed CV/SV/HVs that have been replaced by newer versions. Last night I set her up outside a build our faction was doing just simply to provide good light in a dark environment and a place to grab something to eat when we got hungry. The two issues I have had in case you do any improvements in the future are sometimes it is a bit tricky to get into the back hatch from the ground and the second is now and then and I don't know why when you exit the drivers seat you exit to the side rather than behind it and get hung up (I just get back in the seat and try again until I exit behind the seat but I figured I would mention it).
Thank you so much for a great little HV.
