Rubick's Fascinating Energies on Mid Lane
By Mr. Darkness
Welcome to my Rubick guide!
Here I tell you how to play Rubick and use his items effectively, focusing less on support Rubick and more on Carry-ish (if you can call it like that), but of course, I also included support items!

Rubick is a hero with unique abilities.
He is a great ganker and is great for team fights.
He has 2 his own spells, a passive ability and the ult spell which allows him to steal a spell of an enemy and then use it as his own!

I hope you enjoy this guide and win with it ;). Have fun.

@Semi-Rational Anarchist, sorry for late response :O.
Yeah I see what you mean. I updated my build anyways. I tried it and decided to change some things. Take a look.

Seems alright :P. i'd probably opt force staff over Eul in terms of (optional) since rubick lacks any form of escape, telekenisis dosent do much to slow down a chase. and if in mid lane i'd probably opt null field to take two points earlier on, 10% can save you in so many situations :D. just an opinion

@Mr. Darkness The problem is that if someone is in-game there's no time to read item descriptions. That's why I said the guide is confusing. It's called Core and Situational items for a reason. Usually you should go into a game with a particular build in mind and only adjust it, if things don't go your way not sit in the fountain reading item descriptions, trying to figure out 'what do I need now ?' Also refresher is a very bad idea. It's very expensive, cost's a lot of mana, has very long cd, and there are barely any spells worth using it on. Assuming you manage to steal them in the first place. Even if you do - you're gonna sit on this spell waiting for the item to go off cd instead of just stealing something that is useful right now.

I agree that items depends on player's play style, and also depends on what skills you steal, anyway i think that due to rubick's fragile nature and the lack of an escape/initiation skill, FS is a core item. Often i prefer it to blink 'cause of stats (+10 int and +3 hp regen) and the fact that i can build it from 3 items instead of waiting 2150g for dagger, that for a support are a lot to save during the match.

@Pirate_PL, you didn't read the descriptional part for all items.
If you read the description, I added "OPTIONAL" to most of these items :).
You may buy these items in certain circumistances. Blink Dagger is optional to Force staff. If you have hard times with money you get what's easier to get.
You don't nessesarily need all these items. I added the description to every item and in which cases you should get those.

So, you're not right!

@Gringo, all depends on the player's play style.
But you may get fore staff first if you find it nesessary. If eul's stands before FS, it doesn't mean that you have to buy Eul's first!

Very confusing guide. Too many items for each stage. 6 Core items totalling about 14 k gold ? That's nowhere near what Rubick can get in a game. Put 3 most important in there and rest in situational, luxury. I don't agree with this guide, 3 branches + tango into bottle is a much better for starting, early game items. It's just so good for regen and ganking. Magic wand early is very situational. If you're against a hero that doesn't cast much (Sniper, Drow, NS) you won't get any charges and you'll be forced out of the lane. And NEVER put divine rapier on Rubick. NEVER. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

I usually build FS and then if i have more farm eul's scepter, because often i need to escape and blink might go on 3 secs CD...
