Sengoku Monogatari - Shikoku

Description
Adds Shikoku, the smallest of Japan's four major islands, as a playable civilisation, led by Chosokabe Motochika. Part of Sengoku Monogatari. Includes YNAMP TSL. Requires Rise & Fall (once again, sorry).

Chosokabe Motochika - Hyakkajo
Each Farm within a city's limits gives a 10% boost to Combat Experience gained by all ranged units trained in the city. Worked Farm tiles gain an extra +1 Production if adjacent to a Holy Site with a Temple.

Agenda: Bat on a Birdless Island
Likes civs with a different home continent to his own. Dislikes civs that he has to share a home continent with.

---------------------------------------------

Shikoku - The Eighty-Eight Temples
Each Temple in your empire receives extra Faith equivalent to the number of Temples in your empire, and Tourism equivalent to half that number.

Unique Unit: Shaguma
An Industrial Era melee unit unique to Shikoku. Receives a Combat Strength boost when fighting units from the Renaissance era or earlier.

Unique Building: Aizomeya
Replaces the Workshop. Provides +1 Great Merchant point in addition to its usual yields. When built in a district adjacent to a Commercial Hub or Harbour, each building in either of those districts provides +1 extra Gold to its district, and an extra +1 Production to the Industrial Zone containing the Aizomeya.

Thank you. I look forward to getting back to your civs if and when they ever get fixed. You seem to be the only one who was ever inspired to provide multiple civs for Japan, which has an interesting history.

Not yet, there have been several reports of the first half not working properly with GS, and I don't know how to fix them and lack the means to do any tests. Sorry.

I enjoyed using all of your Sengoku Monogatari civs in the same game before GS came along. Did you ever update the other half of your civs?

Sorry for the very long wait for compatibility, even after I said a few weeks ago that I'd do them ASAP. Turns out 'P' isn't very 'S' after all, I have a *lot* going on rn.

Anyway, I've updated half of Sengoku Monogatari (Ryukyu, Ainu, Shikoku, base Tohoku, and the City-States) and would be grateful if anyone could test what's been done so far before I go ahead and do the other half.

Thanks very much! There is a map called "The Great Asia v2.1" here on Steam and it looks very impressive. Problem is, it is not currently R&F compatible, but some have said it is not hard to make it compatible. Perhaps this is something you can do with your modding skills? The map looks amazing!

The mods are compatible with YNAMP's Giant Earth and Greatest Earth maps - I don't know of any modded TSL maps that currently exist of any area other than the world and Europe. Having said that, if you do find a Japan map for Civ 6 which can have TSL coded onto it, please let me know!

So, I have a question for you Homusubi. These mods say they support TSL for YNAMP. I have been trying to figure out which map in the package gives a decent representation of Japan with some of the surrounding Asian areas for use with your mods, but I cannot figure it out. The "true start asia" map gives a very tiny japan that is just not right and does not seem to be what you intended with your mods. Which map do I use with your Japan mods for a nice historic experience? Thanks very much for any help!

Part of it relies on the same code as the setup which caused the problem with Ryukyu, so that's probably why there's a bug. I did try fixing it in the same way as Ryukyu before releasing it, but for some reason the fix stopped the ability in question from working at all, so i'm still not quite sure what to do about it. Sorry.

Maybe it needs a similar fix to what you did with Ryukyu?
