A glitterworld on the verge of collapse did a bold move. They sent out various small ships containing the means necessary to start civilizations from artificial life. It was determined biological life was too dangerous and as such androids would be given a chance to make a name for themselves; because of this you were programmed to mistrust anyone not part of your species. You are in one of those ships called a "seed". Inside are three androids, enough gear, weapons and materials to rebuild as well as the research necessary to do so. Your ship has found a planet and will now land so you can start your own civilization from the ground up; make your creators proud! Or not, not like they are around.
