Wall Light

Description
Place these lights directly on your walls! They must be placed on an 'impassable' tile, facing a passable one. They play very nicely with all sorts of workbenches and furniture. If something happens to the wall you've placed it on, or you build a wall in front of it, the light will be destroyed.

Research requirements mirror those of the regular standing lamp. Electricity research for the regular light, and Colored Lights for the colored ones.

Light radius, power use, and steel cost are configurable through the mod configuration menu, so feel free to balance any way you wish.

Now includes an experimental Show Lit Area option. Right now it only works with the default light radius of 8, but it will show the area around the lights that will be considered lit (>30% light) by the light. It will also show the area of any nearby lights to aid you in making sure your entire room/hallway is lit. In the future I aim to make it work with any light radius.

Can be added to a saved game without issue. To remove from a save, make sure you've deconstructed all existing wall lights first. Technically you shouldn't have to, you'll just get a bunch of errors the first time you load up your save without the mod but after that it should be fine.

Just a quick heads up, I started a new colony based off of a saved ship from the Save Our Ships mod with also a healthy mix of 30+ other mods and the wall lights that I had on the ship were lit correctly. However newly built ones that were connected to power on the active power network were not active. Reinstalling the old ones were fine and worked immediately. A fix for this was a save and reload immediately and all is fine now.

this is probably a dumb question given this is a light mod but does it work with multiplayer ?

I like to tell you that there is a mini-bug with wall lights:

I have wall lights installed using some colours (red, blue, green) in different rooms. Rooms appear in the proper colour but the wall lights remains in white colour.

If for example I click on a red wall light, it shows in the description that it is a wall red light and it emanates red light, but in the wall the colour of the wall light is white.

Yes, I'm sure. What I forgot to mention was that the wall lights that were already built around the map can be moved around and reinstalled without issue, it's just making new ones that something goes wrong.

Are you sure there is a path to it?

Yeah that sounds like a conflict of some sort but I'm not sure what it could be, I use a ton of mods myself and i've never seen that issue.
