Can you please type the map file name here?

Good re-creation of Ruins of Sarnath. I'm not sure if it was intended, but is this supposed to be a faithful 1-1 remake or not? If it is, there are some issues. The weapon spawns are not in the correct location. Plasma is where rail should be and LG is where plasma should as an example of a few inconsistencies. Also, there are duplicate weapon spawns, namely shotgun and grenade launcher appearing twice. Where is heavy?? Power up spawns in wrong location. Some minor map inconsistencies as well. For example shotgun jump pad and light armor are connected, or the small cubby with health down where rail is leading up to plasma not existing in QC.

I don't mean to be critical. I thoroughly enjoy the map but I personally having played so many hours on Ruins of Sarnath, those inconsistencies are apparent to me when I play this.

Walking at full speed directly at the basement jumppad by rail makes you hit the ceiling instead sending you up the chute :/

honestly, this map would look best in nearest-mimap-nearest, and in quake 1. no offense, as it's still fun and playable, but it's definitely missing playability features due to the wall designs, no jungle terrain skybox, no vegetation at all, the egyptian theme vs the mayan theme in the original, i could go on. it would be great to see someone do a sock-style remix of sarnath for q3, but until then pyramid of the magician still holds the title as a poor man's ruins of sarnath for me.

the map has bugs because this is a stolen beta off the openarena forum for a map intended for, well... openarena. It's not even properly balanced as there is a gamebreaking secret area in there

Some people deserve the utter respect for their imagination, work and contribution to the well-being of the community and Akom74 and whoever else helped him create this map, deserve just that.

So thank you very much kind sir(s) for your efforts, I truly appreciate your efforts.

Such a wonderful thing this map-port, that has at least 3 merits:

1. Feed the Quake 3 / Quake Live nostalgia for people who haven't fully (or at all) transitioned to Quake Champions
2. Help those aforementioned players to have a smoother transition by helping them adapt to the new status quo
3. Finally something to do when Quake Champions servers are down or are under maintenance (like this very moment)

I don't know if this map is without bugs or has some less developed aspects but the encouraging thing is that it exists and it can be built further upon.
I played one game in FFA with bots to test it out and the feeling of satisfaction was sublime.

In the end, if I may have a humble suggestion.

For those new or unfamiliar with how Steam Market works and is integrated within Quake Live (like myself) it would help to have the following included in this post's descrirption:

1. in order to actually have the map in-game one has to click the "Subscribe" button
2. once subscribed, if one can't find the map in the map list or has no idea on how to do so, the easiest method is to type in console: /map oa_Sarnath

Thank you once again for this wonderful idea and its implementation, hats off to you Max Zim and all others who helped you develop and publish this.
My deepest appreciation and I hope you continue doing map-ports from QC to QL.
