Maintenance Fees (Parklife Ready)

Description
Maintenance Fees, Parklife Ready!

What is this mod?:
A continuation of Chrislex's Maintenance Fees mod for Cities: Skylines.
With proper attribution to the author, whose original mod can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=602336261

This mod allows for adjustment and reductions from the game's baseline fees with regard to maintenance and upkeep for many services. This does not adjust the amount of funds your cims are charged for using the services, in the case of Public Transport.

It is particularly useful on larger, 25 to 81 tile maps, where utilities and services find themselves spammed to cover the larger city sprawl effectively, reducing the budgetary burden through the myriad miracles that not even this Mayor can explain beyond a cryptic phrase: "I am not privy to the current state of dental work of this gift equine. I did not look."

Changes made with this mod are global, not per city save.

What has changed:
Since the last commit by the previous author, sightseeing buses have been added. This adjusts their maintenance fees.

How to use:
Once installed from the Steam Workshop, and activated in Cities: Skylines, check the Options menu. This can be accessed from the main menu, or from a loaded map by pressing `Escape`, selecting Options.
Here, you'll find Mods Settings, which is the home to `Maintenance Fee (Parklife Ready)`.
By default on first launch, all services and transport maintenance fees are set to 100%.
Make adjustments that you'd like to see in increments of 10%, and press `Save` at top.
When you play, the maintenance fees to operate these given services will adjust accordingly.

Of course, proper attribution is above; my git repo is below:

Working on it as I have time. I'm having trouble getting it to grab the new industry stuff like it should, and it also appears some change is causing it to not grab the trams, either.

You begin to notice things when you have a not-small rocket tram service across a large map, and it suddenly starts showing a cost... :)

Will this be updated for industries?

Hope to see it! The unqiue factories maintenance fees are almost to the point of unrealistic.

@|6P-81| Citybuild122, thank you for asking. :)

I've been working on updating it for Industries, but so far, I seem to be failing to hook the new industry stuff. The past few weeks have been a bit chaotic, so I've not sat down and really focused on finding the culprit. Perhaps with the coming couple of weeks, I'll have the chance to get that figured out and updated, since it's the one thing left that bothers me right now. :hfwrench:

Will this be updated for industries? Are there any mods out there that add support for industries? thanks.

Hi, 「 LiTe Em uP 」. The original version of Maintenance Fees existed long before Customize It! , and served only a simple purpose: allowing users to adjust only the maintenance fees, with a minimal interface.

As a continuation of that particular mod, it keeps the same feature set, which for folks wanting a simple mod with just that one feature, gives them just that.

I admit it's not a perfect fit for everyone -- some need all the sliders, knobs, and toggles of Customize It! , but the good news is that these two mods play well together. :hfwrench:
