Just makes the fully functional TLC2 Argentavis able to level up speed like pre-flyer nerf, NO OVERSPAWNING ISSUES! Also allows full customisation of the speed stat leveling throug .ini!

This is the stand alone version of the TLC2 Argentavis present in my other mod: Naj's Speedy Flyers, So if you have that installed there's no need (nor harm for that matter) installing this partial mod. Since it is currently the only mod out there that covers the fully functional TLC 2 Argentavis with speed leveling ability at the moment and the only one that allows for complete customisation of the speed stat leveling through GameUserSettings.ini options, I figured a standalone version might appeal to those who are using a different mod to level the speeds on their other flyers. This mod does not, unlike other mods that bring comparable functionality for other flyers, alter any of the other stats. This way I feel there is more balance to the game and the flyers are not so much overpowered.

Eggs produced by the Speedy TLC 2 Argentavis will now also produce Speedy offspring! The Speedy offspring will also get the appropriate imprint bonus on their speed stat. Happy breeding!

Currently available rideable flyers that are covered by the full feature version of Naj's Speedy Flyers mod (without any overspawn issues, so there is no need for a counting/culling mechanism):

The TLC 2 Argentavis in this standalone mod is exactly the same as the one in the full mod

The customisation of the speed stat leveling can be controlled by setting the appropriate options in the GameUserSettings.ini. See the appropriate section in the discussion on this mods workshop page for more info on this.

This mod is clean and - for the most part - stackable.

You will lose any SF class TLC 2 Argy's that were spawned in using this mod through the map spawners or using the SF spawn code in the 'Spawn Codes' section when you remove this mod. However, imported TLC 2 Argy's will remain behind as their vanilla counterparts on this mod's removal, should you ever wish to do so.

Known issues:
- With imported Argentavises there is the problem that the player pawn can just run through the Mesh (i.e. collision does not function properly); I checked to see if there's anything I can do about it at the moment but I guess this will have to wait until the TLC 2 Argentavis finally becomes available for the Dev Kit officially; On the SF class of Argy's, all works fine
- With imported Argentavises there is the problem that the grab and hold functionality does not function properly, both for the claws and the beak; I checked to see if there's anything I can do about it at the moment but I guess this will have to wait until the TLC 2 Argentavis finally becomes available for the Dev Kit officially; On the SF class of Argy's, all works fine so you can carry your Anky's around to your heart's content :-)

To immediately make full use of this mod, a 'cheat DestroyWildDinos' command is strongly advised after installation of this mod, to make sure the only wild Argy's available for taming are of the SF class type!

Load order should not matter...

@Blast I know, I guess the latest update was through a Google Drive upload? In the Epic Launcher I did not see any new updates so I went for the Google Drive Diff version

Good job NajKrid. Still tring to get the new TLC Argies to work in my mod. Starting to wonder if my dev kit didnt get properly updated as you said its in the dev kit. I only seem to see the old verson. Havnt tried your Argy yet. But looking as Silgars comments, apperenlty Im not the only one having issues with it. I wish wildcard could stick with one way of doing things instead of changing things up in the kit. It's causing modders to stop modding for the game.

Mods updated! Implemented new TLC2 content for Argy which finally hit the dev kit. From this moment on both the SF and the imported Argy's should behave exactly as intended without the previously existing quirks and bugs!

The Anim Graph and most of the Event Graph seem to get hidden after parenting, unless there's actually a not-so convoluted method I could be using lol

Cant you derive from the animBP as well and then modify it from there?

Aw man, with the way I've modified the AnimBPs I can't do that and still allow for animations to play properly. I guess that still leaves me in the same boat I was in before, dangit. Thank you anyways!

I’m using direct inheritance (child) of vanilla blueprint for all the flyers that spawn in. In this wAy there are no overspawn issues and even though the assets are not available yet you can still access them through a clever inheritance scheme. In the case of the TLC2 Argy this included providing a dummy Anim Blueprint with the name of the new vanilla anim blueprint in the Primalearth - Dinos - Argentavis folder (you can find the correct name in the corresponding folder of your ARK Game installation, not the dev kit). There were some other difficulties to overcome but that’s basically what I’ve done...

I realize now that perhaps you thought I was talking about Classic Flyers, I'm trying to update my own mod, Better Flyers (It is getting a name change soon as I realize there are like 5 mods with similar names now, and mine is somewhat different from the others). Sorry for not being clear about that haha.
So, not for CF's sake, but for my own mod's sake, I would like to know where you got your Argy assets. Again, sorry for any confusion :)

Oooh I didn't think about checking out the Discord, I'll be sure to download those new assets. What about the Argy? (After investigating I recognize I won't be able to get the collisions to work, but I just want to make sure I can get the basic feel of its flight to work well)

I use a different approach, of which CF’s author is fully aware, both concerning the Ice Wyvern and the TLC2 Argy. I even DMed him to let him know the Ragnarok assets are indeed now available as a SVN download through the Ragnarok Discord, but he seems to be intent on waiting for it to magically appear in the dev kit itself, which I reckon will never happen now that it is already available in the current manner... 🤓
