As for the magic water, I added a reset zone in that hole because it is intended that players must work their way round the bend of grass rather than jumping straight over it with the water, and it can also become annoying if your ball is stuck bouncing on water. Many players however are used to being able to bounce their ball on water as it is a mechanic in other courses and many other holes, so I added the sign to let players know that entering the water on that hole would reset them and waste the shot, so they shouldn't try to bounce over it.
Hope that clears up everything, please let me know if you need further explanation or have any suggestions you think might help improve the course, thanks for the questions, and as always, enjoy ^_^
In the second one, hole 17 I think, there are two paths. The left path is a portal which takes you to an open field where you can see the rest of the hole to the goal, with buttons corresponding to traps that you can activate by hitting them with the ball. Traps are labelled to give you an idea of what they do, and the buttons are placed alongside the part of the course they will effect. Finally, should the other players make it past you activating the traps, you will find a cannon on the far left, which gives you one last chance to screw over players making final adjustments to enter the goal by shooting your ball at them to knock them off the course. If you had taken the path on the right, you will make an attempt at completing the hole instead of activating traps. It is designed such that you will likely stroke out on the hole if you activate traps, but gives players who are too far behind to compete a chance to influence the outcome in their own fun way.
Hi Mr_Whiffie
Aside from general obstacles and deisgn that allows you to screw over your friends if collisions are turned on, there are two holes where you can directly infulence traps.
In the first one, there are a series of buttons and the goal is right in front of where the balls begin the hole. You can either sink the ball for a hole in one or hit a button quickly, blocking off the goal and moving it. From there, you can add obstacles by pressing other buttons, or race to the goal. After one person enters it, the goal will move further away, meaning the other players should use more strokes to get there.
