Thats cool. Good to know that if i ever build any more Expanse ships.

In the setting of The Expanse, there is no artificial gravity. Gravity, however, is just acceleration, so they build their ships like towers, with the engines at the bottom and the "front" of the ship is the top. The decks are arrayed like floors in the tower, with "down" being toward the engine. When the ship is accelerating, it gives the crew gravity. The Epstein drive used in the series is capable of constant acceleration with extremely high efficiency, so they can have any level of 'gravity' on the ship that they want.

It's a really neat idea. You accelerate constantly toward your destination, giving your ship consistent gravity. Halfway through your trip you flip the ship around 180 degrees and kick the engines on again at the same level of acceleration, so you have consistent gravity for the remainder of the trip too.

Huh that could be interesting. Haven't watched the show much so i didn't know what the insides look like.

I've wanted to mess around with building ships from The Expanse and having them be accurate to the show. Could put a gravity generator at the rear of the ship facing forward, so that gravity pulls toward the engines. Then lay the decks out in 'tower' format. The pilot chair would of course be properly situated in the front of the ship to make it easy to fly.
