History of BTR-82A

BTR-82 is a improved version of BTR-80. It have better armour, scopes and electronics. BTR-82A is a APC\IFV hybrid, armed with 30mm 2A72 cannon - simplier and lighter version of 2A42 cannon. Also, because BTR chassis not designed for this weapon, it have some issues - very bad accuracy (due to special type of cannon installation) and it cant shoot too long, because it will overheat. Armour also isnt that great - sides can surely hold only 7.62mm AP bullets, front armour only 14.5mm.
