You can also use the arrow keys to move electrical parts beyond the limit of the cords. Haven't looked at that part of the code yet since I took over everything. Same problem. On my list to fix.

I believe there are programming faults with how the part works. If the forbidden area is on an edge of the puzzle, you can trick the game into placing a part there when you shouldn't be able to, as long as the game doesn't remember a "last valid position", from the parts bin. Kevin Ryan needs to fix that. In a case like that, I just ignore the exploit and call it a bug in the code instead. It's not an oversight by you but by Kevin Ryan instead. I was able to achieve this bug with the same method you were able to bypass the forbidden area:
