1. This mod is currently on ice and will be so for a few more additional months probably. It isn't dead and it will receive updates again in the future. Other issues and projects require our attention for now however so please be patient!

2. Everyone who's interested to help out with the mod and has a certain degree of modding experience is invited to add me (Terry) on steam or discord.

3. All the screenshots were taken using the mod Theatrum Orbis Terrarum (Carthoge Reloaded).



Overview

ET Expansion is a sub-mod for Extended Timeline that aims at improving ET's history and
playability by adding new events, scenarios, cultures, nations and much more.



Features
  • New Formable Countries: Transcaucasia, Danubian Federation, Slavic Federation, Turkestan... are some of that you can actually establish.
  • New Revolter Tags either for earlier or later dates often with an unique culture associated with them.
  • South & North America Rework: Updated history of South America concerning the period going from 1812 to 1836 including new cultures, the United Provinces of the River Plate, the Peru-Bolivian Confederation, Gran Colombia. Split up the American culture.
  • Overhaul of Europe: Several culture group reworks, including an expansion of the Latin and German groups, events for Romanization of local cultures, a unique system for French and Occitan cultures with alt-history paths and a split up of the Celtic group. New cultures like Gallo-Roman, Galatian, German Silesian. New nations like Illyria, Bryneich and Austria-Hungary. Alternative history scenarios featuring Celtic Britain , Roman Balkan or Occitan France. Added a new United Kingdom tag and Irish events.
  • Overhaul of the Middle East: New cultures such as Mozarabic, Kabyle, Mandaic and Nabataean have been added as well as new new nations and culture groups. Expanded on Persia and Arabia as well as the Maghreb.
  • Changes to Asia: Added the Baiyue, the pre-Chinese natives of Southern China prior to their assilimation - present until the 2nd century CE. Regrouped East Asian cultures such as Miao or Emishi - Added Bruneian Malay, expanded on the History of the region - More will be added in the future. Alternate history paths for Japan and Tocharia. New nations like Turfan and Ezo. A decision to make Manchu shift its culture group to Chinese as Qing.
  • Irredentism with decisions and events, allowing the player to conquer provinces historically claimed by nationalistic movements. Actually extended to Italy, Greece, Albania and Romania, this system will be extended to most countries in the world.
  • Overall Changes: The colours of multiple nations have been changed throughout all periods from ancient to modern times. Furthermore, dozens of flags have been changed and new provinces have been added. Also new events like the Germanization of Silesia or the Romanization of Iberia keep the game in a constant dynamic flow.
  • Partly translated in Spanish!

Suggestion & Bugreports

We will take suggestions and criticism gladly in order to improve this mod and expand the original ET mod further in the future; but please keep in mind that this is the first version of the mod and some crashes might occur here and there so we recommend to set the autosave to yearly. - We also appreciate all error logs so we can identify what causes all kinds of crashes; you can post them in the bugs report discussion of this mod, thanks. ^^
