MK's Chaos Better Victory Conditions

Description
Chaos Better Victory Conditions

This is a very small mod that slightly changes the victory conditions for the Warrior of Chaos faction in Mortal Empires, to increase replayability when playing Chaos.

Usually, Chaos campaign involves running around in the Old World, focusing on destorying Empire / Bretonnia.

With this mod enabled, you'll have to also fight and destroy the wood and high elves for the short campaign victory, in addition to the usual factions.

While fighting all major factions from WH1 and WH2 when aiming for the long campaign victory.

Factions for short campaign
  • Empire
  • Bretonnia
  • Dwarfs
  • Wood Elves
  • High Elves

Factions for long campaign
  • Empire
  • Bretonnia
  • Dwarfs
  • Greenskins
  • Vampire Counts
  • Dark Elves
  • High Elves
  • Wood Elves
  • Lizardmen
  • Skaven
  • Tomb Kings

Future additions

I am working on adding a final quest battle similar to the Fall of Man in Beastmen campaigns to add as a condition for both short / long campaign victory that would trigger when all factions have been destroyed.

This could be something similar to the final battle we can see in the Vortex campaign where you would have to fight a strong alliance of some of the major factions.

Feedbacks

Any feedback, ideas or feature requests are greatly appreciated. Also, if you feel like the victory conditions for the short or long campaigns should be a little different, feel free to add a comment to detail how you would like it to be.

Ideally, I'd like to implement something like "Destroy 3 (or 5 or more) of the following factions" with all major factions listed. This would allow the player to pick and choose some factions to focus on some part of the map. (ex. one scenario would be to destroy Norsca factions such as Vargs and Skaeling followed by Naggarond).

Mod compatibility

This is a rather small mod, so it shouldn't conflict with any mod not editing startpos file.

It doesn't alter any startpos table (or db tables at all for that purpose), it just edits a file called victory_conditions.txt which is used when the Assembly Kit process the startpos file.

Would it be possible for you to make a mod similar to this that removes the "eliminate faction" requirement for the Von carsteins? I'm not interested in wiping out Reikland as The von carsteins.

Can you change victory conditions during a campaign?

I think victory conditions requires edits to startpos, that's maybe why it isn't enabled with your other mods.

Some Chaos reworks maybe?
But those I use do not alter anything about the victory conditions.

Sorry for the late response.
It works with every other mod disabled, but does not with all the others enabled and to be honest, i dont want to test all of them...
Do you have any idea what could be interfering?

@Vulcanizor Updated. Let me know if it works for you or if you go to the end of the campaign ;)

@Vulcanizor Sure thing! I'll try to do this. I'm not modding atm but it shouldn't be too long to do so. This is a rather small mod.

Hi, could you pls update your mod? Since this is the only one modding the victory conditions.
Does not work right now.
