Windows 10 Stuttering Fix (Deadspace)

(this is a fix for constant stuttering) for the windows 10 stuttering not sure if other OS systems experience the stutter as well but should work with those as well. hope it works for you.

the fix

we are basically making your quad core run as a dual core processor

step 1..start up game get all the way in game then hit control alt delete.this will take you outside of game.
step 2..then click on task manager and click details.

step 3.. find the deadspace.exe right click on it and drop box will appear.

step 4..click on set infinity and uncheck cores 7,6,5,4 then hit ok.close task manager

step 5..now click the deadspace2 icon in task bar to re- enter game.(game must be running for this to work) you will have to do this each time you start the game.enjoy....Guy

Honestly with how many bad ports we got of console games back in the day that run off of DX9 I wouldn't be surprised if this fixes the majority of them.

This worked for me for Deadspace 3. I turned it from 12 cores to 4 cores and stuttering stopped. Thank you!

i've try compatibility mode win 7, turn off v sync in the game and turn on into nvidia control panel, lower cpu cores used and try also disabling threads. But still remain in the center of the screen a line (i don't know the exact name) when i turn left or right still remain a central line not sync. anyone know why and is possible do better or not. thx anyone can help

I think this should work with most single-threaded games

On cpu without hyperthreading (like ryzen1200), just disable first core (one with 100% usage). That will force windows to use other cores much more efficiently and eliminate any stutter in this game when moving between areas.

This also works on older CPU if the game is using 100% and making it overheat
