Description
LOOT PINATAS LIGHT: FOR WOTC

This mod is the creation of fellow modder Ashlynne_Lee. Full credit goes to him.

This mod adds additional base game items to Alien Timed Loot! Aliens literally explode with loot (like a Piñata) making it even more tempting to run into the open and grab it!

Just like the original, Loot Piñatas is a simple mod designed to make Timed Loot a little more fun/rewarding while trying to remain minimally invasive to base game balance.

Timed Loot now contains:
------------------------------------------------------
-Additional chances to contain Force Level appropriate Weapon Mod and PCS items
-A small, random amount of Alien Alloys.
-A small, random amount of Elerium Crystals
-A small, random amount of Supplies

NEW GAME
------------------------------------------------------
You should start a new game or backup your Saved Games folder before enabling Loot Pinatas just to be on the safe side.

Compatibility
------------------------------------------------------
This mod alters the XComGameCore.ini file [X2LootTableManager] as well as modifies the 'Supplies' Item Template and may not be compatible with Mods that do the same.

DO NOT RUN THIS MOD WITH OTHER LOOT PIÑATAS MODS!!!!

THIS LIGHT VERSION scales back the % chance of Loot Pinata drop add ons and the amount they drop. Yet Loot Pinatas is a great mod but some still find it a bit too rewarding and have been asking for a "lighter" version. This is it.

Note for controller users: a consequence of mods that add additional items to the loot like this, is that you'll often get a scroll bar in the loot popup.

This scroll bar cannot be scrolled with controllers, so you can't see all the items you've just picked up.

It's a minor issue, since I think you'll see all collected loot at the end of the mission too.

Okey. I don't know why, but this version of loot piñatas works . Yes i now, that's only a configuration files, but works 😆
I dug into the config, configured the percentages for myself - everything appears correctly.
I have a lot of mods for loot and not everything drops out normally (psionics ex machina, Tesla loot, mele attachments, shield attachments, tactical suppressors)

Hullo!
I've been using this mod for quite awhile, through two campaigns so far, and Im finding that I get an absolute ton of loot, especially from higher tier enemies. At times as many as a dozen items from a single enemy. I'm not sure if its interacting with some other mod or not, or if this is intended. I figured 'Light' would mean maybe a handful at best, but 6 or so game-months in could fill an entire hangar with weapon attachments and PCSs.
Mod-wise, I'm more or less using the full suite of recommended Mod-Jam mods, plus a ton of soldier customisation things and a few other mods (like this one). None of them would seem to touch loot, but I dont know enough about XCOM modding to have a clue.

In the Loot Pinatas configs is there a way to further tweak the number of drops? I poked through them but nothing immediately stood out, so any advice would be appreciated! :davion:

Anyone know if this conflicts with Weapon Upgrades Expanded? It changes some of the weapon attachments and adds in new prototype attachments.

@noone_reaven Loot tables are REALLY difficult to fix once broken. You should try verifying your files maybe you edited some loot table. Also there is this mod that you can use to check if loot is spawing right. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2128067026

I dont know if it is me being metally challenged again, but the game is dropping me loot table load failures into the logfile and in all of my test campaigns no loot will ever be dropped, does any one know what could be happening here, I checked the mod conflicts via AML but there was nothing shown in terms of conflict, im running loot pinatas WOTC, Grimy Loot mod WOTC and the XCOM Trinkets.

This mod does not appear to work with LWotC (Long War of the Chosen) mod. Similar to Grimy's loot mod. Not a complaint, just being informative for anyone who is considering one or the other.

@Jestimac : I don't believe you can check before subscribing. What 99% of the community does is subscribe, wait for Steam to download, run Alternative Mod Launcher, and AML will auto-detect mod conflicts override. Then you decide which mod to keep. Sometimes the overrides don't affect gameplay, always check mods description/FAQS/comments, the dev will have pointed it out. Hope this helps.

I know this will look like a silly question, but how does not check whether another mod adresses the same file/table/template before subscribing ?

If there is loot left not picked up at the end of a mission it currently causes my game to crash. Any thoughts on how to remedy this?
