CIVITAS Berbers

Omschrijving

BERBER

Ability: Tamazgha
Specialty districts receive major adjacency bonuses from Oases. Foreign Trade Routes that pass through Berber cities generate +3 Gold and +2 Production in those cities. Trader units are invisible unless adjacent to an enemy unit.

Unit: Arer Warrior
An anti-cavalry unit unique to Berbers. Replaces the Pikeman. Unlocked at Military Training. Weaker that the Pikeman it replaces, but is cheaper to produce and receives additional Combat Strength when defending, doubled when in friendly territory.

Infrastructure: Foggara
An improvement unique to Berbers. Yields +1 Food, with additional Food for every two adjacent Foggara, and each adjacent Mountain or Hills tile. Flat terrain adjacent to a Foggara yields +1 Food. Must be built on flat desert terrain and in a line with other Foggara. Will not be damaged by Droughts or Sand Storms.

MAC USERS
This mod may not be compatible with Mac. If the databases do not match (due to a delayed update from Aspyr for example), any issues will likely be caused by the fact that we might be referencing a game_effect in this mod that doesn't exist yet on Mac databases.

LINUX USERS
You may experience bugs, crashes, and other weird and wonderful things that come with trying to use Linux for gaming. If you find that this is the case, unfortunately, this mod will be incompatible with your Linux system.

Would it be possible to add a true start location in Northern Africa on the Play Europe Again Map for the Berber's as they were traditionally located a in scattered communities across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Mali, Niger, and Mauritania. Currently the maps have TSL's for Morocco, Carthage (Phoenicia) and Egypt. Other than that North Africa doesn't have many Civ's to occupy that space.

It works like Reyna's ability - it has to be sent from another civ/city-state.

My gut tells me that trade routes from other civilizations passing through your cities impart those bonuses to your cities. No time to check atm. Maybe Seeling will know for certain.

The wording of the UA makes it unclear; is the food and production bonus exclusive to other Civs sending a trade route to your cities? Or does it mean if you send an international trade route, the origin city gains the bonus?

It works fine. :momozzz: Subscribe to a Berbers leader as well if you haven't.

I'm rightly assuming this mod won't be continued right? Cuz it doesn't really work I cannot select Berbers at all

Many Berbers are white.

Hi! The unique unit appears with white skin, while the other units have their correct darker skin.

@O2Methematics (and Amondin) - I believe there's a bug in the game with the modifier not applying correctly to Dust Storms. I'll update the description here accordingly.
La Creatura 7 apr 2020 om 10:21
Hey, just wanted to check if the dust storms ability still works? With just this mod and all the dlcs the dust storm description doesn't get added into the game even with GS.
