The ideal method for deploying troops is to go in with air support. Your allied Gunship can draw the enemy bases fire while you move in to start removing their turrets. Once you clear them you can turn your access door to their base, bringing the majority of your anti-personel weaponry to bear. When you perform a Fast Deployment (Deploy Warn + Deploy Troops) your engines will be turned off (dropping you to the ground fast), rear spotlights on and the doors will be opened for swift egress. Seating is also disabled so no cowardly troops can return to hide!
