Archimo's Unusual War Paint Price Guide
By Archimo
Warning: This guide is no Longer being updated & haven't been for quite a while, I'll leave it up for people that need to use it for whatever reason but I got too much backlash for trying to help people over my many years ever since I first made this guide so I can't be bothered with updating it, if you happened to have a High Tier or God Tier Unusual Skin you can feel free to write on my profile then add me & I'll do a price estimate for you myself.

Archimo's simple and easy to use guide to estimating prices of Unusual & Strange Unusual War Paints based off of observation and trading experience, Always be sure to use some common trading sense when using this guide.

Keep in mind this guide is not a Bible! It's a tool to help you estimating prices. Please refrain from defaulting to the middle of the price range, feel free to use the tier list if you are wondering if your war paint is placed higher or lower on the range or in case of S & A tier if it have potential to go way above the ranges shown.

I'll say it again nothing in this guide is a bible it's purely to help you get a better understanding of the market, as well as having a good base understanding of what various Unusual skins could or should be worth.

Due to a complaint about gen 1 weapons being war paints because they show up in the war paint previewer:
This Guide only covers items unboxed in Unusual quality from a War Paint case. If it got unboxed in Unusual from a Weapon Case we classify those as Gen 1 Weapons and this guide does not cover those.

This guide Doesn't Directly cover Rare Patterns on stuff like Macaw Masked either but they are still higher in the tier list as a result.

Trading with Unusual War Paint:
The war paint system is inately flawed for several reasons:

The biggest issue is that you cannot turn war painted weapons back into war paints, therefor used ones can sometimes drop significantly in value, also a lot of unusual war paints get used on stock weapons, because people think it secures the value when it would be much better left as a war paint for value...
War Paint Tier List:
S tier are usually wanted by collectors and therefor very likely to go above the ranges listed.
A tiers got a good chance at being wanted by collectors and could be above the ranges listed.
E and D tier are usually always around or below the lowest end of range.
If you're not sure how desired your war paint is you should expect your war paint to be closer to the higher end or lower end listed depending on it's location on this tier list as well as it's wear:

Note: Order that I put the war paint on display doesn't matter, just the tier they are in.
Note 2: This Tier list is more reflective of the war paints priceability & desireability based off of it's grade compared to better & similar war paints with lower or equal grade, but should be able to do the job when it comes to estimating atleast a low end idea of the price.
Note 3: Scream Fortress 13 War Paint placements are W.I.P. Keep that in Mind.
For Applied War Paints:
I'd say 10-30~% off on the price range, overapplied stock weapons are likely to be less valued.
(Can be ignored or be a low discount, if your item is desired enough by potential buyers)
For Matching/Themed War Paints:
Effects that color matches the War Paint increases the price, Be aware that especially on desired Strange or FN paints this could increase it's price by 100-200% and sometimes more.
However it's more likely around 25-50% if the skin isn't Strange or FN

Note: if it's both Strange & FN the price can go way higher for a matching/themed effect!

Example of a matching paint: Alien tech with Isotope as seen on the picture below.
Effect Tier List:
1. Energy orb (not available on war paints)
2. Isotope tends to be the more saught after effect.
3. Hot = Cool (Personally I'd say it's mainly preferance based even if some disagree)

Note: Some effects are better for certain skins so this list only applies when the effect doesn't improve the War Paint.
Note 2: energy orb used to be the least desired effect on Gen 1 Weapons but since it was removed it have actually become increasingly desired by collector to the point of it being the most valueable effect ofc it's not relevant for war paints but it's worth mentioning the effect regardless.

Elite Grade:
Unapplied: 175-325~ keys range.
Unapplied Factory New: 350-600~ keys
Note: Elite Data might not be as accurate due to less data available.
Strange Elite Grade:
Strange Unapplied: 700-1350~ keys range. (Low Data, partly guess work)
Strange Factory New: N/A* (Have everybody bid and see what absurd price it sells for)
*Currently No War Paints in S. U. FN Elite Grade have been unboxed to my knowledge.
End Notes:
You may need to drop a bit lower if you wish to sell your war paint faster as it can take a while to sell especially if you want pure. I'll try my best to edit this guide and keep it up to date.
If you wanna know about a Gen 1 Unusual weapon you'll have to get my help directly as the guide doesn't cover them and they are way more of a case by case basis.

@Peter that would be a contract skin, they cannot be unusual at all, only skins unboxed from cases using a key can be unusual quality.
