Description
Sombra is one of the heroes in Overwatch. She is a hacker who has hidden within the shadows to find a global conspiracy that she once encountered. ~ Overwatch Wiki

Sombra "Rime" comes from event : Winter Wonderland 2017.

Hello!

This time the texture on the model is prepared for a different method (Read below if interested). That's why it looks much better, but also it takes is longer. If you use the model on a poster / animation. You do not have to, but it will be nice if you write, which model you used. I hope that it will be useful !

    1. Lock bones Skirit to Sombra
    2. Select Connected Bones (Padlock next to them)

    What does mean Model _v3 , _v2 or _v1 ?

  • _v1 (Base) - Model with texture without any modification

  • _v1 - A model using improved textures (Special textur for phong and simple color enhancement, etc.)

  • _v2 - This is a simplified version of _v3 without 3 masks (therefore they do not need more than 2-3 switches), but they do not look as good as _v3 with the correct lighting.
    (_v2 It's good for Animators and Lazy People :))

  • _v3 - Model with textur modified by BlueFlytrap's method with final amendments on the model


    Black textures on _v3 ?

    It happens if you do not prepare good lighting for a model with such textures. I recommend 7 lights directed at the model, but spaced in different places , distances and intensity . (Map: Stage_Big.bps)

    "Depends on the map you are using the model in. Because there are places for the maps to which you only add the missing light. Therefore, there is no such thing as the rule of a minimal light to a model with such a texture. Sometimes 5 and sometimes 8. The light also can not be punctual in different pages on the model with _v3 texturings. Light combined with textures is supposed to imitate metal elements of the model. Therefore, in the absence of proper light, these elements are black.If you have a problem with this, use "poster session" with ready light from Workshop" ~ Casanova (Me translation)

Okay now that I looked at the pictures again, I realize it's the V3 models that look shiny, didn't realize that. They just looked black when I checked them out on the new model window.

Very nice models. I appreciate this, especially since Rime Sombra is my favorite legendary skin in the game. But I gotta wonder; how do you make the golden gun look shiny?
