Junkyard Dog

Description
For the ZeroG challenge build, ticks all the challenge boxes: Warp capable, fits in the box, landing gear, Cargo, Fridge, constructor, O2 tank.

I saw there were a bunch of really pretty entries for this challenge, so I went the other way; I made something basely functional, and rigged it with pipes and strutwork to make appear functional. Like someone took all the bits required to fly and welded it to a girder.

No frills beyond the challenge but it's really cheap, and take an EVA boosted suit to fly it; this thing has an open cockpit :D

Nearby base laser took one shot at me as I was passing....entire ship blew up...only 3 pieces of it exist now....10/10 would blow up again.

I mostly play MP co-op building/survival games, but have occasional RTS phases; I'll look Homeworld up next time the urge hits :D

Nice design, I too thought of HW. HW is a wonderful game and you should def look it up and play if you get the chance. @hox, there are a few homeworld themed ships here in the workshop FYI. My fav is the hiigaran carrier :)

It's a shame you missed this wonderful game, but there's always time to catch up :) If you like real-time strategy games, you're in for a treat. There's a remastered collection of both Homeworld games available on Steam, with new fancy graphics, high-quality soundtrack and whatnot. And in case it's just not your cup of tea, well, at least you're now familiar with the reference! Looking forward to seeing the updated design. Maybe one day my dream of stealing enemy freighters and towing them to my base will come true :)

Hoxtilicious, I didn't play HW, I had to look that reference up. The name is co-incidence. If Empyrion ever adds scrapper claws or boarding equipment, however, I'll now be updating this design to include it :D

Ah, the name gives me flashbacks. Would be nice if this thing could be converted into a proper Junkyard Dog, though.

Really cool design.
Nice shadow on the ground, I've always liked the way your shadow follows you when you fly close to the ground.
