Game play:
Early game: Tank for your wolves, use chicken to deliver extra regens to you until the wolves get to level 3-4 and deal enough damage to farm the small camp by themselves while you clearing the big/medium camp alone. Rush Vlad asap with a Medalion support.

Mid game: Once you get vlad, start creating lane pressure by pushing your top lane out. This will give the enemy the need to defend their tower against one of the fastest pusher in the game which they will group up and try to gank you. The moment they went all missing and rotate top, quickly TP to bottom lane with a smoke and rosh with Vlad medalions. Once you get rosh, continue split pushing and retreat to your jungle once the enemy group up to gank.

Late game: Securing rosh should gives you a good level lead. Always put pressure on at least 1 lane with your wolves WHILE farming jungle/another lane. Depends on the enemy line up get BKB for escaping or Necro 3 to improve pushing power. Necro summons + 2 wolves could easily take down a tier 3 tower by themselves if the creep wave is right. Equip yourself a desolator or AC for further building damage, which one to get is depends on if DPS or Armor that you want. Another great item choice during this period is Boot of Travel which let you port right on your invisible scouting wolves for surprise ganking/backdoor tatics. If you have trouble with teamfight control feel free to aim for basher->abyssal blade instead.

The reason why i named this guide The Lone Wolf is because i do believe that Lycan is not a hero that made for teamfight. The hero is a sickening pusher and has the ability to melt a tier 3 tower down in matter of seconds and should be utilized where he exile best. Otherwise Lycan would not be a good pick compare to many many others carry heroes. A good lycan players needs to have great map sense to know when to farm, when to split push in order to create no less than even trade in term of towers and kills from the early mid game until the end of time.
