[BRCE] Battle Royale Coop Experience

Current state of development

Just wanted to update that I have finished the official support for this scenario. There won't be any updates in the future

Overview

BRCE is designed as a coop scenario that allows you to play Battle royale game genre with AI. This version is also allows you to create your own squad with AI teammates (up to 5 people).

Features

Play with your friends

Play with up to 5 people in the scenario. Friendly fire is enabled and there is no punishment so you can play as PVP multiplayer if you like.

Randomized gameplay

From AI appearance to the play area coordinates - everything in the map is based on randomization. Every game is unique.

Revival system

Arma 3 revival system[community.bistudio.com] is enabled. Use First Aid Kit to revive your teammate.

Ability to configure your game at start

Main options:
1. AI Number (90/60/45/30 players)
2. AI Skill (Super AI/Expert/Veteran/Recruit/Mixed)
3. Time (Day/Night/Morning/Evening/Random'variable*)
4. Weather (Sunny/Fog/Rain/Overcast/Random/variable*)
*Variable time/weather randomly changes every round.

Additional options:
1. Extended time
2. Add GPS at start
3. Enable fatigue
4. Custom UI
5. Enable Danger Zones
6. Add Day/Night Cicle
7. Enable Squad
8. Add AI to Your Squad

Custom User Interface



There is a custom user interface that shows your HP and how many players alive and your kill stats. There is a game chat that informs you about all kills in the game. There are also notifications about the current status of the play area/danger zones/loot drop.

Arma 3 content only. No paid DLC required*

All weapons/cars are from original Arma 3. Map size is 3 mb*.

*If you have other dlc preloaded. (You don't need to buy them.)

Installation

1. Click on the "Subscribe" button;
2. Start Arma 3 and wait for the game to load;
3. Click "Multiplayer" in the Main Menu;
4. In the dropdown list choose "Quick play";
5. Click on the "HOST SERVER" BUTTON;
6. Choose server properties and then click on the "HOST SERVER" button
8. Choose "Malden 2035" map
9. Choose "[BRCE] Battle Royale Coop Experience" scenario and click on the "PLAY" button

How to play

Here are some game rules that help you start easier

AI teammates basic control tips

Arma 3 is a game with vast variety of AI interaction options. AI control can be a bit confusing for beginners. Make sure that you know the basics before adding your AI teammates to the scenario. I also suggest you to play the singeplayer campaign.
Here are some tips that might help you:
1. Arma basics guide; [community.bistudio.com]
2. Use the "Eject" command for AI teammates to make them get out from the plane (not the "Disembark" command);
3. Press the '6' key to access AI teammate's inventory;

Where is the configurator?

Click the "Parameters" button in your lobby. Only host can modify parameters.




Blue maker


Blue maker is the next stage play area. An area where you need to get before the end of the current stage.

Grey marker


Grey marker is the current stage play area. An area where you are not getting damage. If you are outside of the grey area you get damage every 2 sec.
Keep in mind that the play area decreases immediately when current stage time is over.

Yellow marker


Yellow marker is a drop zone area. Possible area where an lootbox with rare loot is going to be dropped.

Red marker "Danger zone"


Danger Zone is an artillery strike area. Danger zone starts with 2nd game round. It randomly spawns in the grey area on the map(grey area marker)
Once zone shows on the map you will have ~ 30 seconds to leave the zone.
Artillery vehicles have 3 types of ammo(random for each round):
1. White smoke;
2. 155mm shells;
3. Mines (infantry mines);

Lootboxes


All items(weapons, clothes, etc.) are stored in lootboxes. Most of them are randomly placed inside buildings. Every item has equal change to spawn in all lootboxes around Malden.

Bot AI

At the start of the map bots have no weapons. After landing they will get to the nearest random point to pick weapon/armor/clothes/other items from a loot box.
Keep in mind that AI can use cars to get to the play area. They can also hide in buildings, check every building nearby, patrol random area or even find and remove nearest loot boxes.

process in terms of proper game setup for mod

boncer this is stupid on my end, but i am thinking of making a video on youtube explaining the process for this. Because it is a slightly more elaborate setup than other mods. Dumbasses like myself who won't read the steps to setup will try to figure out how they ran this before because they forgot since the setup is more involved than other scenarios.

I love playing this, especially with my brothers. Makes for some super fun gaming sessions!

I'm stuck on one thing, really. When I have AIs on my squad, I can command them to do whatever, but they won't go search loot boxes and pickup weapons & armor.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having a squad, if they won't euip themselves for battle.

Anyone else run into this, and did you overcome it?

How do I get my squad to start looting and grab weapons & armor right from the start of a match?

Sorry, I may be a bit dense here. I just set up an ARMA 3 dedicated server on my headless server machine, and would like to run this mod on it. So, my questions are:


1. Can I run this mod on a dedicated server, and if so, how?

2. When playing with friends, can we squad up as a team against the AI? It sounds like that's the case (up to 5 human players?), but I want to make sure if we're all alive at the end that there's a win scenario.

33. There doesn't appear to be a .pbo or .bikey file in the mod - aren't these required for dedicated servers, and where would I get these?

Currently working on a port to Namalsk. A commenter somewhere requested it, so I chose to work with that terrain first.
