Description
I made new versions of this SV fit for mass/volume here:

The Comet class mining shuttle is a warp capable SV with a pressurized interior to keep you safe while you mine with your drone.
The 6 gatling guns are more than enough defense to take care of any drones that are guarding ore deposits or patrolling in space, but it is not designed to take on POIs or more difficult targets.

*Note* Do not use the "auto-group" feature in the control panel as that will undo most control panel setup.

Features:
Everything you need to survive in a SV: Fridges, constructors, armor locker, etc. Devices named and sorted in the device list of the control panel.

Automatic doors. Roof door is for mining with your drone. Face your back to the roof door and you can spawn your drone.
Door lock switch to keep doors from automatically opening while standing inside the ship in case you're landed in a dangerous area.
Side facing spotlights to illuminate asteroids for drone mining.

Interior lights and most LCD screens turn off automatically to save power.
Control panel setup for controlling propulsion and exterior lights.

106 minutes of power while hovering. (Omicron)
878 minutes of standby power.

This ship is an old design and not CPU compatible.

The hell! I just invested in this thing and no sooner was I fueling her up for her first mission did her engine EXPLODE, taking with it god knows what. That is some crap man.

Can you link the video that shows how to upgrade this? Do you have a version of this for the EGS 1.5? I've been trying to find a cheap Warp SV with shield that can get to other planets in the starter system to drone mine some Neo Ore that I need for CV Thrusters. Not a fan of gats, can they be removed in favor of turrets?

A combat variant with shield does very well against POI's. Even more so if you put rail guns on the top :)

I just want people to know this is the best first ship I had until I finally built my own. I used this ship to travel around and get mats. Ofc it won't work well against heavy POIs (especially those with rocket launchers) but it's an amazing ship to travel around for mining or for scavenging materials from derelict ships.

I even used it to attack the lesser armed POIs no problem.

Nice! I use it but not with volume. Have a armored model with 4 rail guns, increased thrust, addtional fuel tanks and an additional generator with a shield. Not going to win a dogfight in it, but it makes a nice airborne tank in that config.

I'm working on updating and testing this and if it all works well I'll update all the workshop copies with the new versions. Been so busy making my scenario but I'm coming up on a small break from that and I'll need a new ship to play with. :D

It hasn't been updated with the new cargo system for mass and volume. I haven't had time with working on my scenario. Should still work if mass/volume is disabled or it could probably be refit in creative with some container controllers and extenders. :D

I loved this ship early on. Not sure how well it will do in A10 though. Guess I will find out!
