Well, if you search "La Femme Nikita restaurant scene" you will see basically the same scene of this mod. It´s heavily based in La Femme Nikita and lack of agency.

Even Duncan at honk kong´s campaign said that a shadowwrun choice from a menu made by mega corporations.

This mod is a good quality one. A little polish in the dialogue was needed, to correct the grammar and punctuation errors that cropped up frequently, but the level design was good and I thought the combat was done well. I especially appreciated the scenarios where you could skip fights entirely if you stayed out of the enemies LOS.

Having said all that, I didn't really enjoy the experience. This mod was like playing as a member of the Suicide Squad, or La Femme Nikita, where you don't really have any choice or agency, or even any illusion of those things. Shadowrun is usually a game where the 'runners are social outcasts. Maybe they're Robin Hood, maybe they're Jesse and Frank James, but they aren't a government black ops team.

This mod felt like I was being forced to be The Man. Dialogue to resist this portrayal were few and far between. Not everyone is going to have my preferences, of course, and as I said in the beginning, the mod is well-made. It just isn't for me.

This is a great little UGC. There are certain rough patches here and there but overall I enjoyed the combat, story, and decisions. Definitely a worthwhile campaign for anyone who is looking for more content and story after the official campaigns.

Great mod, thanks for this.

A good mod, heavy on the combat but with a decent amount of conversation, choices and consequences.
Even on Hard its easy to progress as you acquire much more Karma than the base SR:HK campaign and the Bonus campaign, I played a Shamage and maxed Willpower/Magic quite quickly.

second onto actual story critiques. the story is just flat for the most part. not static but flat. and after you have played to storys like the main and extended campaigns as well as caldercott capper and calfree in chains, this story will generally leave you wanting. there are a grand total of 3 to 5 characters i can genuinely say i liked in this campaign. and that is not because the characters i like are written well, rather they are the only characters with any story at all XD.

now take what i say here with a grain of salt because if i had to guess this was written by some lone dude in his spare time. if that is the case he has done far more than i will ever be willing to XD.

in short if you just want to street sam, adept, spell cast, summon, rig or run and gun through a different environment this campaign is for you. if you care about characters and story, i recommend the other campaigns i mentioned over this one first.

ill try and keep this short. first for the people who want to know how it plays ill save you a bit of understanding, put no more than 5 points into decking. decking is only used as a meat space skill, not a matrix running skill. there are no jack in points and no decks to better clarify and there are only 2 maps that need the skill near the very beginning (i recommend just leaving it at 3 to get all of the unlocks there), and at the very end (of which it needs to be at 5 if you want to use it).

Early on there may seem to be a strong emphasis on ettiquites but they make little to no functional change in the outcome of anything save for some extra newyen early on.

you cant start with cyberware so i would not bother putting points into cyberware early on.

everything else functions as normal, i just wish that there were more skill use options and that skills actually changed the outcome of things.

Good campaign, but mission 5 was bugged to heck. It got so unresponsive that I couldn't save, then it got stuck in an infinite loop.

As many commenters, I found this to be enjoyable. The mapping is pretty good, the missions are simple and mostly linear but they work. As many here have said, it's a bit on the easy-side (I played a shotgunner). The story is nothing exceptional, but it works. I had to suspend my disbelief for the whole "Agency "concept, but once you accept it the espionnage part is pretty ok. The writing (especially characters/dialogs) feels a bit too basic, especially when you've been spoiled with the official campaigns and some of the best written UGC.

Loading screen backgrounds and story epilogues would be nice to dress up the whole experience.

And as many people have written: don't play it with a decker build.

A good campaign. Normal is a bit on the easy side, so I recommend going for hard. Also, don't bother going with a decker build. This campaign, as other comments have pointed out as well, has no matrix and no way to acquire a deck. There are a couple of skill checks that use decking, but those are few and far between, and the campaign can be finished without.
