Both sides are actually airtight when they are not visually, that is just how Eleon physics™ work (a block can either be airtight or not, there is no partially airtight block.
I think that perfection is not when there's nothing more you can add but when there is nothing you can take away from it. There's too few small CVs on the workshop that are well throught through.
Any chance you maybe considering a slightly larger variant of this ship which would be more of an universal solo survival ship? What it would have to have is a small farm on board and possibly a pressurized hangar for tiny meteorite miner HV.
