This mod is a port of my Dismounted Reiksguard Knights unit from Warhammer Total War 1. I hope you enjoy using it but feel free to leave constructive feedback so i know what's good and where things could or should be improved :)

Welcome everyone!
With Warhammer Total War 2 only a few weeks away, I decideded it's about time to finally teach myself how to mod Warhammer total War and what better way to start modding than a new unit to expand one of my favorite knightly orders - the reiksguard.

So this first mod introduces a new unit of very heavy infantry to the empire to hold the line against it's countless enemies:


1. General Description:

This mod adds a new unit to the Empire of Man:

Dismounted Reiksguard Knights

"Equipped with the best armour and weapons, Dismounted Reiksguard Knights form a solid line of defense against the enemies of the Empire."

Pros:
  • Great Defense thanks to heavy plate armour and shields
  • Superb moral due to their strong discipline, elite training and acompanying officer
Cons:
  • Vulnerable to armour piercing weapons
  • High costs as they use expensive equipment

Recruitment:
They can be recruited at Castle Reikguard in Altdorf or any Reiksfort after building an armoury (rank 2).


2. Base Stats:

Their base stats are as follows:
  • Stats:
    • Ultra Unit Size: 120
    • Cap: No Cap
    • HP: 8280
    • Armour: 120 (Shielded 35%)
    • Leadership: 80
    • Speed: 28
    • Melee Attack: 39
    • Melee Defense: 45
    • Weapon Strength: 35 (26 normal + 9 AP)
    • Charge Bonus: 18
  • Costs:
    • Cost: 1250
    • Upkeep: 325
  • Attributes:
    • Hide in forests
    • Expert Charge Defense
    • Encourage


3. Technology and Skills:

The unit is fully integrated into existing technologies and lord skills. They will benefit from the following skills and technologies:

  • Technology:
    • State Troop Standards
    • State-Issued Infantry Armour
    • Improved Heavy Weapons
    • State-Issued Weapons
    • Local Militia
  • Lord Skills:
    • Best of the Empire (Karl Franz)
    • Imperial Special Forces (Karl Franz)
    • Emperor's Finest 1/2/3 (All Lords)
    • Strength of Hardship (All Lords)
  • Buildings:
    • Castle Reiksguard

Maybe it would be better to label the in-game unit as "Reiksguard Foot Knights" rather than just "Dismounted". It seems rather odd

Using dismounted reiksguard is fine... but when I enable a 2nd or 3rd mod of yours... my game crashes. Anyone else?

Question: Karls's -15% upkeep cost for Reiksguard is counting ? Also, after tech rework for empire factions technologies in newest patch tech bufs all still integrated ?

Nox for some reason I don't know why but the 7 chevron exclusive redline skill for all empire lords doesn't apply to these guys? It adds 15% phys reduction yet, when i apply the skill it doesn't appear in the unit card?
