East San Gabriel Valley

Description
This map is roughtly centered on the township of Covina. It includes the highways, rail connections, some Oil, Ore and some fertile areas. It is mostly a flat plain with mountains to the north and smaller hills to the south.

Thanks. You might want to check out my more recent version, called San Dimas. There are more roads and the orientation is more to the east.

I can't believe I just stumbled upon this. My backyard butts up next to the 57/210 interchange. They're doing construction right now to extend the Goldline rail (above ground metro) along the train rails so I'll have to add that in. The geographic and freeway detail looks pretty accurate.

I'm really glad you like the map. I was happy with this one. The map is 18x18 kms, so that's close to 1:1, but all my recent maps are set at 17x17 kms, which is closer to the right accuracy. There's a lot of flat area to cover. A good housing pack is "Big Suburban", but you will also want the SoCal houses. Good luck with the project.

Using the map in 2021! It's really good, I am also trying to work on a less detailed East San Gabriel recreation. Is this a 1:1 scaled map or is slightly smaller?

I use either Realistic or Hot Desert for this map and the theme is Vanilla Rock. I also use the Ultimate Eye Candy mod for lighting changes. Owls LUT pack is also quite good, but a bit bright sometimes.

What LUT do you use?

Sounds good!

I should have added the end of the 71 actually. I was rushing a bit at the end. I used a stacker interchange asset and adapted it slightly.
I think there will be a West SGV map sometime soon, yes. I'm planning various maps of the wider area. Right now i am building on this map, so will think about another map when that is complete.

Will you also be adding the northern end of the 71, or was it just not practical to model the 57/10/71 interchange?

Also, will there be a West SGV map (Pasadena, Monrovia, Alhambra, El Monte, etc.) at some point?
