NOTE: It seems the latest update broke replacing workshop items for me and friends. Thanks Keen, sorry guys.

The Katyusha multiple rocket launcher (Russian: Катю́ша) is a type of rocket artillery first built and fielded by the Soviet Union in World War II.

Multiple rocket launchers such as these deliver explosives to a target area more quickly than conventional artillery, but with lower accuracy and requiring a longer time to reload. They are fragile compared to artillery guns, but are inexpensive, easy to produce, and usable on any chassis.

The Katyushas of World War II, the first self-propelled artillery mass-produced by the Soviet Union, were usually mounted on ordinary trucks. This mobility gave the Katyusha, and other self-propelled artillery, another advantage: being able to deliver a large blow all at once, and then move before being located and attacked with counter-battery fire.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In-game, the Katyusha is a fearsome vehicle. Though lightly armoured, it can pack a powerful punch. Acting as both rocket-artillery and an improvised anti-air gun, it can take care of any target quickly through sheer volume-of-fire.

With two-years of fuel and excellent off-road performance, the vehicle can fire, relocate and fire again to avoid counterattacks. It carries 308 rockets and fires in volleys of 14. There is a digital ammo counter in the cab to help you keep track of how many rockets are remaining and a remote camera to assist aiming.

Tactically, this vehicle should be used at long range, preferably with multiple launchers firing at a singular target at once.

Although Soviet vehicles (mostly just the military) are very cool! The more modern platforms such as the armata, the volk, and the modern GAZ just aren't the same...

And I can never remember the name of that awesome soviet multipurpose enigneering tracked vehicle! One google search later reveals the designation of this awesome tractor as the BAT-M.

An age of cool military vehicles...
Nowadays, its just not the same.

Its good..... but its not BM13... its more of a GRAD setup, utilizing rocket tubes.
The katyusha had exposed rockets attached to their mounts.

That is the one thing that is missing.

Also, fuck stalin.

Thank you both :) This is my first build in this style of 50/50 function/appearance instead of pure utilitarianism.
