Introduction
Welcome to Accuracy for CS:GO. This tutorial will make you accurate, thus earning you more kills in many matches of many gamemodes on many maps of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Short, Controlled Bursts
Firing in short, controlled bursts in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is essential if one want to get bullets in an enemy with an automatic weapon with high recoil like the terrorist AK-47.

Weapons Course

To learn more about how to do short, controlled bursts, play the official Weapons Course by Valve Corporation in-game. Try to beat your own time, the Counter-Terrorist company time, or take follow from the example videos below. (Footage is from the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pre-launch Beta.)

Duck and Crouch
Crouching and ducking (default CTRL) increases your weapon's accuracy.
Running
Moving around by running decreases your accuracy.
Walking
Walking in CS:GO (default keys: SHIFT) removes footstep noise and makes one go slightly faster than crouching while retaining most of your accuracy.
Falling
Shooting while in mid-air highly decreases your accuracy in CS:GO.
The Dynamic Crosshair
In your game settings in the Options menu of CS:GO, you may turn on a Dynamic Crosshair. This is enabled by default, and the default or newer look is recommended over the classic look. The more spread out the dynamic crosshair is, the larger the burst area of your weapon, meaning less accuracy. The closer the points on your dynamic crosshair are together, the more accurate you will be when firing.
Burst Fire
Some weapons like the FAMAS rifle and the Terrorist Glock pistol can switch between automatic fire and burst fire modes. This is done by using their secondary trigger. (default trigger MOUSE2) This makes more shots fire at once but less time between firing again. The trigger must also be pressed each time one wants to fire, rather than holding it down. This can help and is good if you expect to be very accurate or hitting in the torso or the head.
Look Sensitivity
Change your look sensitivity in your options to your liking—this increased the speed in which you can aim and look around. One may also use keybinds or mouse buttons to change this dynamically while in-game. No worries, this is not considered cheating!
Conclusion
Thanks for reading this ever-growing guide of Accuracy: Automatic Weapons for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Here's what you have learned from the guide:

  • Stay still when firing, but dodge if there are snipers or people charging or trying to knife you
  • Crouch when firing
  • Focus on the enemy, aim for the head or at the least the torso
  • Fire in short, controlled bursts
  • Burst fire is usually a good idea if possible
  • Adjust your sensitivity to your liking, or use hotkeys or tertiary mouse buttons for changing it dynamically in-game
  • Be on the ground while firing

This might be some obvious stuff to the people who have been playing for a while, but it's a great guide for beginners to look into. I do think you should update it though with sidestepping.. other than that fantistic guide and good job buddy.

it's for accuracy, sidestep shooting still lowers accuracy so "Stay still when firing" applies

You didn't mention sidestep shooting.
