Description
Located in the Nara Prefecture of Japan, H?ry?-ji is a large temple complex dating to 607 CE. Much of the original temple is believed to have been destroyed in a fire in 670 CE, with the current complex believed to be a restoration, which incorporates aspects of both Korean and Chinese architecture. The five-tiered pagoda is one of the oldest surviving wooden buildings on Earth, dating to the sixth century CE, and is rumoured to have bone fragments of Buddha at the base. Ingame, H?ry?-ji provides 8 Faith, one artist slot and becomes available with Philosophy.

Requires the Gods & Kings expansion pack, and credit to co-author Sukritact for the icon

For those who are using BNW, it's easy to go into the Mod folder and simply replace "SPECIALIST_ARTIST" with "SPECIALIST_ENGINEER."

Yeah, it's on the to-do list once I finish exams. I'm not sure, since the Seventeen-article constitution isn't actually at Horyu-ji, it was just done by the same guy. Wasn't it?

Since BNW changed the way artists work, I recommend you to update the wonder. Since Prince Shoutoku created the first constitution of japan, I think it should grant a free Great writer, 3 culture and a free great slot of writing. Or also could directly have the "Seventeen-article constitution" as a free Work of writing.

To be exact, it was a religious college.

Todai-ji did? Hrm, didn't know that. That could work, although I'd like to do something to signify the huge bronze Daibutsu inside
