they are in a group, and the group is set to only move into position if the player spawns in the startzone, every ring is just a particle object that moves away from the map as soon as its local trigger is touched.

I meant like how the rings are made. They don't seem to be in any layer or be objects of any kind, nor particles. But yet the trigger object is attached to them.

every ring moves a giant trigger a bit more towards the ship, this trigger will sweep the playable area once enough rings are collected.
