Jx 950 Bepi Dreadnought mk 5

Lore: The Bepi dreadnought inched slowly towards the docking ring though with some of her engines disabled from a recent battle this was a balancing act between the pilot and the dock controller more so than normal. Finally after some more delicate maneuvering the ship was in range of the base's tractor beams. As the ship was locked into place in the space dock the normal crew of Lt Kaol, Captain Blade, Yeland, Darius, and Aleena arrived to greet the ship at the dock. The 4 seasoned pilots couldn't believe what was done to the ship. The other ships that had gotten back to dock weren't in too much better shape. In fact it was a miracle that the Ocar in the group was able to get back to base with it's bridge exposed to space, and their Interdictor survived after having it's port engineering section completely ripped from the ship. Had it not been for the group's commander aboard the Bepi the entire group would've been wiped out. As the surviving crew disembarked they were greeted by salutes from the 5. Finally the captain of the Bepi disembarked. His arm was in a sling and he had a bandage over his eye that had been cut from flying debris. Finally he approached the 5. "How are you holding up," Captain Blade asked. "I'm a little banged up but I'll live. We routed the pirates and Tenar 7 but took alot of damage in the process. Still the civilian population is safe which is what matters," he explained. "You look like hell Olan and should see the medics soon," Darius said. "I swear Darius we're getting too old for this crap," Olan said. "That's the truth," Yeland laughed as the old pilots laughed. Olan ♥♥♥♥♥♥ his head to see a bit better out of his good eye. "You must be Aleena. You're the technopath that's been helping revamp the fleet I take it," he asked. "I am," she replied. "If I may ask sir, I've worked on dozens of ships in the fleet already including several of our Bepis, but why did you guys insist on this Bepi in particular sir," she questioned. Olan looked up at Kaol. "Aleena this is the Bepi that myself and Blade were on the day we met you. Since you've been doing great work already and had been working with Darius and Yeland to upgrade the fleet, we thought it would be cool for you to get to work on this Bepi in particular," he explained. Although she was intelligent and wise beyond her years, she was still only a child and sometimes her emotions got the better of her. "I asked Olan to bring the ship back to spacedock once his battlegroup returned," Captain Blade stated. Knowing she would get to work on a ship that sentimental to her and that it was arranged by the crew was too much for her as she finally let out some happy tears as she hugged Captain Blade as tightly as she could. She loved her work she did with the Phantom Elite Division and now she would get to refit the original dreadnought used to carry her to safety and potentially save lives of other kids out there as well.

Aleena worked hard to get the ship up and running while upgrading her systems and so on. Even after Yeland, Darius, and Captain Blade had gone to bed for the night she would stay up and keep working on the designs. Finally one morning the crew came into the room they had been working from and found Aleena had fallen asleep at her table with the completed plans for a new generation of Bepi on a holo-display in front of her. Captain Blade picked up the young girl without waking her up while Kaol grabbed her data pads and jacket. Yeland and Darius started filing the work orders to get production started. Captain Blade carried her back to her quarters and laid her on her bed as Kaol placed her data pads and jacket on a table in the room. Kaol and Blade left her to some much deserved rest they both thought in the back of their minds that people like her and others were why they fought like they did, people who legitimately wish to help others.

Notes: I hadn't planned to make a newer version of the Bepi this soon but with the recent changes to hydrogen I had no other choice. Some of the changes to the Bepi include some reworking of the ship to make her hyper-efficient with her fuel systems. As long as she has ice in her oxygen generators to process the Bepi will not burn fuel from her tanks even at full burn of 3 different directions of thrusters at once. I have also redone some of her armoring and floors of the bridge to give the floors of the bridge greater durability in battle incase of a hull breach. This is my longest serving capital ship design still in service next to my interdictor destroyers. She's still a potent ship that will deal damage to the enemy while carrying 2 fighters into battle with her. Designed to be a light dreadnought compared to the Endocan she is still a powerhouse in her own right. She has been improved in several ways compared to the mk 4. She now also features turrets in key areas to deter boarding parties.

1m kilos of ice, and 100k kilos of uranium fuel added to start you out. Ship also comes with 1k rockets and 1k cans of ammo for the turrets. She also is stocked with a full set of elite tools and an automatic rifle with 25 mags of ammo.
