Slow Down

Description
When this mod is enabled, speeding up the game will instead be changed to slowing the game down. Toggle slowdown mode with a hotkey, defaulted as 5 (on the numbers row, not the numpad). Don't forget to enable the mod using the mod settings menu first!

Hardcore Mode
Enable Hardcore Mode in the mod settings menu. You will no longer be able to pause the game and micromanage things, instead you'll be able to slow things down. Change the slider in the settings to limit how slow you can go.

I first developed the mod so that I could achieve a nice smooth framerate with 200+ pawns on screen for a video that I then sped back up to real time. Since then, it's grown mostly due to user feedback into a general-purpose slowdown mod (very slowly, I don't have much time for modding).

@ĐruCart3456 you're looking for the "Disable forced normal" checkbox in the mod settings menu. I should probably change that to be on by default.

Could be a mod confliction, but one thing I thought would be *really cool* is using this for combat instead of pausing. However, it seems its still blocked when you try it, like normal fast forward is. Super damn shame.

Ok got it. I tried again with Smart Speed removed, and no change. Can other mods be preventing your to work?

In general, this won't be compatible with things that also change the TickManager. Both SmartSpeed and Slow Down override the vanilla code because the vanilla code was not made to be extended.
