This terrain consits of three island, the main and largest one is filled with objects but the two smaller ones are just recently started work in progress.
After the Apex release there been different lightning and blending of roads/ground etc that the island wasn't first made for.
There fore, consider this work in progress but the main island should be both playable and enjoyable.

What is Wamako

Wamako is a fictional African island with a mix of lush forests and arid bush land. The indigenous Orebro tribesmen have inhabited the island for at least 1000 years living in harmony with nature and there huts could still be found all over the island. During the early medieval Arabic tradesmen found the island and the Islamic influence could still be seen in Bakunga and many other east coast towns. They also left a religious legacy with a large portion of the islands inhabitants being Muslim's today. In 1868 French troops occupied the island and made it into a colony. The following 100 years the island was used as a naval refuelling station for the French navy. Fort Laurent and Fort Chambly was built by the foreign legion 1879 to be used as training facilities before posting to more hostile colonies. In modern times the island have hade its share of conflicts as most other African countries it was cough up in the cold war. And civil war have been raging more or less since independence in 1971. Because of this almost no major infrastructure exists on the island with the exception of the Kuban build harbour on the southern part of the island.

What to do on Wamako
Its strongly recommended that you visit the old town in Bakunga with its narrow streets and medieval buildings. Here you find the pirate princes castle with its high towers and imposing breastworks over the harbour. In the eastern part of the old town you find the amphitheatre and the ruins of the grand councils meeting hall. In the new town a visit to the blue mosque and the liberation square with its statue of the soldiers of the revolution. Angenteuil was the main city during the French times and the European influence is quite visible on the town. Here you also find College Wamako the only place of higher learning on the island. From here its also close to get to Fort Lourant & Fort Chambly both is open for the public. The island also has great natural assets in oil and natural gas and the large new harbour on the southeaster coast. The construction of a pipeline from the oilfields in the interior of the island have started and will be completed shortly if no major crisis erupt. For those that is more in to a natural experience there is countless miles of dirt tracks all over the island that connects the far out farms and Orebro tribal villages with the major towns.

I may be late to the party but I just wanna say this is a pretty decent map with quite a few good areas, especially the shanty towns. i've already run an op on it and can't wait to run a few more!

Not bad, It is not a revolutionary map, nor it will be the best map ever, but it is still pretty good...

Hunter, thanks. I think 6/10 is pretty good considering this was the first? custom island ever made for ArmA. Before the tools got out properly and been a test bed ever since. What I think needs to be pointed out is that it is flat for a very specific reason. Most arma terrains isn't.. I wanted to have the challenge to attack a village from 1.5 km when attackers and defenders could see each other but not engage due to lack of range. I think this is a more or less unique feature compared to other ArmA3 terrains. I hope soon to introduce Tanoa objects on the two new islands on Wamako.

Terrain: The terrain on the main island is mostly flat with some smooth hills not very creative.While the northern island has more cliffs the cliffs are just drops and not very good.
Biome: The biome is Much like altis in that it has a desert or savanna And a more forest like area.
Cities/Towns: The Cities and towns are very nice and have several nice features most of them have slums on the outskirts also the buildings are tightly packed and it works well.
Extra: The Map Has some nice ideas and it uses a nice amount of objects such as crates to create a atmosphere.
Summary:This map did good work with cities but is not all that good for Extended missions but is good if you want to use it for towns the terrain is not very good but still playable its a fair sized map and i would say it has some of the best towns I have seen but not very good terrain I would recommend making the terrain a little less flat.
Still I Rate this map 6/10

I like this map a lot I just would like to see a few thigs added. I think you should extend the airbase and make more building around it and maybe a village outside of it. Also adding more military or rebel compounds. I think if the airbase was more like a spec op base with more building and places for aircraft it would be better. Great map

@Bearded Bushman We're in the process of reworking our mission pack. It was created many years ago and has not been updated with the rest of the SFP mods sadly :(
