I had a long, long review for this game describing how good this game is. Everything I said is still entirely true. This game is truly a masterpiece. One of, if not, the greatest FPS of all time.

But you probably know why this review is negative now. The sheer neglect from Valve is actually pathetic. Casual, for many players, is entirely unplayable due to cheating bots. This gives many players no choice but to join community servers. While some community servers are fine, some great even. (uncletopia for example) The offical matchmaking system being UNPLAYABLE is not acceptable by any means.

Tf2 does not deserve this. Not a single game to ever be created deserves this. The community surrounding this game, despite what some may tell you, is very much still active. Thousands upon thousands of people play this game every day. All of those people deserve better.

I love tf2 so dearly. It's one of the closest things to a perfect video game. But until Valve fixes their game, This review will stay negative. My original review is below if you wish to read it.




This game means so much to me. the community is so fun, the characters are so likable, and don't even get me started on gameplay. even when i'm getting my ass kicked I still have fun. 10/10. even if you aren't into the fps genre you will love this game.

Edit: I have since poured over 500 hours into this game and have loved every second of it. This game is so immensely fun and never gets old. My opinion is the exact same. I'll edit this review once I hit 1000 hours.

Edit 2: At this point I have over 1200 hours in this game because I couldn't remember how to edit my review. As you cold probably guess, Everything I said has stayed about the same. Casual sucks again, which is a bummer, but community servers are always fun. I am getting a little tired of this game, but that may be due to the fact that I have been absorbed by how awesome pizza tower is. Regardless this is an amazing game with almost perfectly designed characters. 11/10. would recommend. I'll edit this post again after 2000 hours.
