Black Mesa, as advertised. An excellently done and faithful recreation and revamp of the original Half-Life, this game brings a previously ancient and rusting experience into the modern day, with all the love and attention it deserves.

Visuals: 10/10
Excellently done graphical effects, UI and menus are high quality, no bugs, no glitches, simple to use and understand.
Game looks like a treat, and generally runs like one too, although this is a rather demanding game.

Audio: 10/10
Audio is a treat as well, excellent ambience, variety of configurations to support surround sound systems, well balanced, and very well chosen sounds mean that it never gets old either.

Gameplay: 9/10
No significant gameplay issues. Mostly straight forward combat (with varying difficulty, encounters, a vast number of enemy types, and some stealth and surprise opportunities), simple puzzle solving, A few boss fights, and linear game progression. Confusing level layouts occasionally leave something to be desired. Did experience crashes multiple times involving the controllers and vortigaunts when they're being controlled. Keeps things fresh as the game progresses, you're never dealing with the same enemy encounters more than you can handle.

---/// Overall: 9.7/10 ///---

If you enjoyed the other half life games and their respective experiences, you're certain to enjoy this. Cannot recommend enough, if you have the computer to handle it.
