You found my profile?

Befriend me because of... how should I know?, being a real-life friend... or put rep+ comments in my profile, I don’t really care.

Do not add me. Period. I'll assume you're scamming me. Unless I've seen you before on a server or we've agreed to exchange info, you can go back to your scam site where you belong.

PSA: For those who stalk my profile / reading through this in the future, leave most/all public Steam groups to avoid bot scammers trying to add you. How do you think they managed to get your profile in the first place, assuming you haven't met them before at all.

When a Steam friend contacts you since forever, and starts off their conversation with 'hey bro', followed up by a favour like e.g. 'can you help me with something?' without specifying what it is, they've likely fallen into a scam, LIKE YOU IF YOU DO THE SAME STEPS THEY DID. Ignore/block the account in question, until they manage to get their account back, as well as inform the friend, if they have other means of communication, that their account is compromised.

Also, never use your Steam credentials elsewhere, unless you are 100% sure the site is:
A. Safe, secure (https) AND well known enough that other users can vouch for it, excluding the person who sent the link. Even if you think it's safe enough, check with your other friends related to the link-sender to check.
B. A site that you already use frequently. Always check for Phishing attempts by users.
C. The Steam website itself. If the site doesn't say 'https://store.steampowered.com' , then it sure isn't owned by Steam. Just to make sure, check every letter of the CORRECT link, down below, or a quick Google / Bing / DuckDuckGo search.

And now a general tip for emails: Don't share it anywhere public online. If you have to, replace the '@' with '[at]' to avoid robot scammers across the web using web crawlers. (or some other stuff, I ain't a tech genius.)

This can act as proof that I have, at this time, not been compromised. If this is found to be deleted or edited to seem false, assume the worst.
