One of my favorite games of all time. I played Persona 3 Portable not too long before Reload released, and loved it as well. The gameplay, the characters, the story, and the visual style are all near flawless.

Turn-taking RPGs aren't for everyone, but even as someone who isn't great at them I ended up really getting into the strategy of it, setting up insanely strong attacks with buffs and charges rather than mindlessly spamming attacks like I sort of did when I played P4 as my first in the series a long time ago. I also got way more into fusing personas and made really good ones, again unlike 4 where I thought it was cool to spend the whole game trying to make Izanagi viable. Even if you're not that into this type of gameplay, Persona 3 Reload makes it relatively easy to pick up, understand, and eventually excel at, and you can play on easy if you just want to experience the story. I played on normal (I'm bad at rpgs and I hate grinding).

The characters, especially the main cast, is incredible. A big flaw I find in the later titles in the series is that by moving the character development of the main characters to their social links, they lose a lot if not all of their impact in the story. They can't really grow in the story if their "growth" is sidelined to the social link that has to be completely separate. In P3, all the characters grow and change throughout the story, and nobody is ever relegated to "guy who has done all their interesting stuff at the start and is now just part of the team." The first character you meet in Persona 3 is still developing in final stretch, learning their motivations and finding their place.

That's only counting the main cast. Outside social links are almost as good and thought out. Some less important characters of course won't hit as well (Moon), and aren't written as deeply and carefully, but at the same time a side character of P3 is almost unanimously called the best social link in the whole series. Even if they don't influence the main story, and you don't see them as much, the supporting cast still matters, and makes the normal world feel alive outside of the supernatural world and powers of the main plot.

And the music. The music is just so good. There are some songs that were better in the original and in this remake have lost some of their punch, but this is made up for by some of the on-par remixes and the new songs. Please listen to Color Your Night.

This game was totally worth the 90 hours I put into it. It took me all semester to find the time to play through it, and I'm glad I did. This is the first time I've ever written a review this long for a game, but this game deserves it.

TLDR: Great gameplay, great music, great story, great characters, fantastic game

Very solid parkour and action game. Gameplay is smooth and consistently fun. The story is alright, but not exactly very groundbreaking or surprising, which doesn't matter too much. If you haven't played the first game, I would say play that first. Although these games are pretty equal gameplay wise, the first one is more visually appealing most of the time, and of course is the start of the story.

Although the first game has a better atmosphere, more "realistic" movement if that's what you prefer, and a more horror feel, Dying Light 2 is still incredibly fun to run around in, especially with friends. Environments are better suited for creativity in freerunning than in the first game as well. Combat gameplay wise is better than 1, although it loses some immersion with health bars and other UI elements.

I may not have that much time on this game, but I can confidently say it's got a fantastic story, banging music, and very likable characters.

This is simply one of the best games I've ever played. It has so many different elements of gameplay that blend together beautifully. No matter who you are, there is almost definitely going to part of the game you have fun with, whether it's the farming, building relationships with the people of Stardew Valley, or exploring the caves and fighting enemies.
