9.5/10 Superb!

This game is absolutely amazing.
Even with distant servers in SEA and no dedicated OCE server (pls?) ive had between 110-35 ping and its fine.
The game does recommend you install it on an SSD and the performance is night and day, the warning is there for a reason; follow its advice!

Weapon diversity is fantastic, balance of ranged/melee and the ability to augment your character both before and during the game with Glyphs (pre-game) and Jadesoul (in-game) to help you play the way you want is perfection.

Character choice is really nice as well with team oriented ones (healers) still able to put up a fight because the core gameplay is the melee/ranged engagements instead of being purely ability reliant. Tianhi is my favorite transforming into this giant demon thing but its not invincible, slow and distance dependant grabs justifies the large damage output when successful (he himself is quite fast for a big demon when moving though)

I sincerely hope this game finds success. They might have just caught lightning in a bottle!

If you don't cough up money for premium, without a way to earn tokens (no information is given) you only get 150 tokens to start (5 per game) and while it rotates the 'free map of the week' picking the map is free, playing the game however is not free since you only get a limited number of plays before i assume you're forced to pay for more or for premium.

There is no clear cut way to earn tokens and if i'm wrong, i'll hold my L. Until then, no dice (no pun intended).
Tutorials/Scenarios are kinda fun but something feels off

This is a great little game! Its calming and exciting at the same time. Lots of little things like the dynamic backgrounds, I feel like the obstacles are dynamic as well which is very nice. Soundtrack is sick. Will have to sink some more time into it later. Nice way of clearing tilt as well.

Controller Support = 10/10
Keyboard is a lil awkies but controller fixes that really quick.
Great Game Robbie

This is a great little game. Reminds me very much of my childhood playing through the Mega Man series. The art style is great and has a great feel to it. I completed the main adventure and had a crack at survival mode (didn't get very far) and will check the other modes out in the future.

It wasn't too hard to work out what you had to do, and the bosses were very creative and interesting in their design. The back & forth between the 2 main characters during the game adds some nice flavor and life to the game. I found myself doing things just to see what the spirit would say. I did not however get 100% completion of adventure mode which will be my next goal playing through as I hope there is an alternate ending and I want to see what that 'loot room' (i guess thats what i'll call it) does.

Solid Game, short & sweet.

EDIT: CHAMPION EDITION REVIEW: Bit the bullet with champion edition ($40 AUD total). Lots of skins, all characters. Worth. Enjoying it now. Lag seems to be mostly gone unless someone's on potato cabling or wifi. Set restriction to 4-5 and you're golden. 5 only if you're extremely fussy but some 3s are even playable but its not consistent.

Still though, $12 AUD for a stage is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ outrageous. Dont buy that ♥♥♥♥. Champ edition is great though


(OLD) ARCADE EDITION REVIEW: Currently playing through for the free weekend. Took me a while to figure out how to get 'Fight Money' the in-game currency. After a while, completing half the character stories, watching the demonstrations (yes they give money too) some online play and completing normal/easy survival with a few characters, i finally got 100k FM to unlock Akuma.

This is grindy as hell and i'll play it on and off until the free period ends, but then i'm putting it down.

I will give some points for including a story mode for FREE instead of the garbage pricing for the rest of the "DLC" like the remaining 60% of the roster that should have came with the game on release. Seasonal Character passes?! Really?! What happened to 20 fighters by default? Especially if they only need a model update and a few mechanical tweaks to adjust to the new in-game systems like the V-Gauge.

$10? Not worth it if I only get the same amount of content as i do for free. It'd cost me nearly the full price if i bought all 3 character passes + discounted game to get the content. Why even have a sale in the first place?

Look the game itself is alright. I sunk 11 hours into this last night and prior to that got bored after an hour but i wasn't in the mood to play it back then.

Wouldn't have played 11 hours straight almost if it was trash. HOWEVER. MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SAVE GOT DELETED!!!!!

I cannot override my old save, i cannot delete my old save, i cannot make a new save. The games ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and this bug should NEVER have made it to launch.

EDIT: After some trial and error, turns out my antivirus, Bitdefender, had blocked borderlands from saving to the folder as it was classed as a 'protected' folder. Upon allowing the game was successfully saved. However, my save was not restored by the game, it *mysteriously came back*. This does still happen to people (i assume) without bitdefender. So, while i am enjoying the game, there is a risk that your save may just decide to ♥♥♥♥ off one day.
