Great mechanics, an excellent soundtrack, and most of all camaraderie combine to make deep rock a truly exquisite co-op experience. Each class provides a different crucial role to a team, ensuring each one of the friends you go mining with will be able, and expected to, contribute in a meaningful way. The ridiculous variety in enemies and ways to kill them makes each swarm of bugs a unique threat for your team to tackle as you navigate one of the many mission types. If you can't tell yet, aside from the team-play deep rocks biggest strength is variety. I get bored very easily but between the mission types, classes, class upgrades, enemy types, randomly generated biomes, and late game content, I see many more hours ahead in my mining career. If you enjoyed games like left for dead or just want to pick up an excellent co-op game, go for deep rock and support developers who clearly care about what they're making.

A wonderful developer, satisfying game-play, and an incredible attention to detail make this one of the most rewarding vr experiences out there. Though the care to detail taken in the now hundreds of weapons and attachments may present a steep learning curve in the amount you will have to learn and understand, the game is fantastic at teaching through doing. Once you work out basic gun function you can apply it to almost any weapon in the game and finding nuances and quirks of real life gun design is a joy. This game will make other vr shooters feel hollow and is an incredible single player sandbox.
