My mod is programmed to intelligently switch station NPC's to the correct scripts depending on the context - so if you claim a NPC station, the manager and DO will switch to player scripts. If you turn over your own station to NPC faction, the manager and DO will switch to NPC scripts.
Station DO will always show "Attack Enemy", regardless of aggression setting (this is actually a vanilla thing). However, if you set it to "Defend", it won't actively attack nearby enemies (I experimented this while tweaking weapon platform aggression setting), even if the status may show "Attack Enemy".
