This game is a classic, through and through. Having over 750 hours into this game as a result of me playing this game religously during middle school, and coming back little by little nowadays, it's a warm welcome. The gameplay of this game works very well, what with the class-based system. Each class feels like they have a part to play in a team, and every class can dominate based on how good the player is. There is almost no limit when it comes to the skill ceiling, yet there is also tons of space for casual players to come in and enjoy the fun. While subtle, and slightly dated, the humor and catchphrases of the various characters do deserve some credit, as they help to add a little personality to each character, making them feel like actual characters, rather than just simple avatars for the player to do ♥♥♥♥ with. Then, of course, there is the customization. Even with all my hours into this game, I haven't really gotten into trading and whatnot, and it has gotten a bit tedious with all the verification, but it is understandable. Customization in this game is off the charts, with thousands of possible combinations to allow players to truly personalize their character, and adds that much more depth to each player. I love Team Fortress 2, and it will go down as one of the best games to have ever existed, and if I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't mind if the game had a little pick up to place it back on the most-played charts.
