Well, honestly, this game is trash. Nothing new, innovative, or remotely original. The world is so lifeless, the "guns" are junk, and the grind is real. But at least there is very very basic building. Don't try to make anything other than a box, you'll soon find walls won't place, stairs and roofs (barely a re-skin) are very annoying, and it is so basic. The pals are . . . well idk maybe ok *emon ripoffs and need way way more verity. I play with my wife whom likes it about as much. almost 152hrs in but way more than half that is afk. We are both bored and annoyed.

all in all, nothing really special here. copied ideas, game play, and even the Pals are taken. unoriginal, stale, and played out.

Do Better, Be Better.

If you enjoy tower defense, Role of hex is a must play. it seems to be in the later stages of development with balance and lag being the main issues. The games foundation is solid, and looks like it might get even better. As it stands today 7/10 would definitely recommend. Points off for the late game lag, tho a lag victory bonus dose give you an out. If your not sure and enjoy TD type games this one is a good one, get it.

It runs solid without any bugs that I could find. game play is very very slow. it might take 6 hours or longer to advance, but that doesn't make it fun. 20 bucks is a bit much for what the game has at this point and who knows if it will be updated or developed further. At the time I'm writing this I can't really recommend anyone buy it. There is a lot of potential though, time will tell. I'll change my review if the full release is worth your time. I'll answer questions in comments if you need to know anything specific.

This Game . . . it isn't bad, nor good. It keeps crashing for me. I played it for 11 hours so no refund, doesn't matter that it crashed 15 times during that time. low video memory? I have 8 gigs! How!?! 32 gigs system. . . I'm stuck with it. save your money! Wanna-be dwarven fortress

I am somewhat disappointed with this game. It has been on my radar for a while and I guess I was hoping for more. It was pretty inexpensive and game play is ok I guess. for 2021 it lacks a lot of what you would expect from a game. Now if it was 1995 then it would . . . well still kinda miss the mark. Ant games are few and far between so it dose fill a void and it isn't terrible. Upgrades and ant variety are good, but the learning curve is very high. The npc is a master and makes all the right moves while you are left making a lot of unguided guesses.

This game will not appeal to many people. It is turn based, low graphic, and not much in game play to speak of. It is somewhat like Civ, but more Civ DOS edition. If your looking for an easy play with understandable choices and feature rich game play you won't like it. I am keeping it and will give it a few more try's to maybe not get my ass handed to me early on, but can't really say it is a great or even good game. I have played many better flash games.

The devs seem to be fixing issues so bugs are being squashed . . . lol . . . ant game . . . bugs . . .

Not really a new game. Not really hi end graphics or cutting edge tech. No real flash or trend setting fluff. kinda basic, kinda slow, really tedious. Still if you like games that don't hold your hand and set you on an unwinding path, or wanna see what happens when your the last person alive on earth, then try it. it is a differnt kinda game. It will piss you off, you will die, you will not succeed. but how long will it take? How many are you gonna take with you?

I got caught up on the hype train in 2019. Watched a few YouTube video's and it looked like something that was going to grow into something great. Not really a new concept, Minecraft, but had some twists and its own style. I bought it directly and wasn't able to play it with the hardware I had. I was well within the specs, but it just wasn't happy. It was said to be in early development and was planing on upgrading in the near future anyway. Since then I have upgraded twice, my hardware now is great. So two years later, on much better hardware, I switched Cardlife to steam, installed it, and started it up. Ha, nope. I could not connect to game server. I gave it a day or two, servers go down, get upgraded, and go thru maintenance, and tried again. The game would still not connect. About a week later I tried and got a connection. The game ran better than it did a year and a half prior, however, it still runs poorly. Nothing looked new or seemed to have changed. The same building options, same plants, same mobs, same glitches, same unfinished and un fleshed out game. The only real notable difference that stood out was the lack of other players. I came across two other players structures, but none online. I started the grind, collected some wood, berries, and fibers. After constructing my little beach side shack I was ready to get some ore. Somehow though I got stuck and locked out of my shack. Relogged in and still nogo. So I started all the way over. Same deal, grind, set up shack, go get ore. This time as I was digging away I fell thru the world. Not only did this happen withing first few minutes of digging, but it happened about five times more. I found myself really deep standing between caves in the area there was supposed to be ground. Eventually I died and hours of my life where gone, years of hopefullness and excitement meet with distaine, and all around feeling of being robbed. Last game update MAY 2019. This game is unfinished, unpolished, and unplayable. 0/10 would not recommend.

I learned a valuable lesson from this title. Be wary of early access, Ignore the hype train, wait for the full release, and always pay attention not only to the update frequency, but to whats being updated. Oh and look at the negative comments only. Lots of stupid people out there who will joyfully get robbed and rave about how great it was.

It Is a great game. A true open world, builder, survival. Lots of great mod content to round out the edges and give you plenty of control to how you wanna play. However this isn't a story driven game. Your also not going to enjoy it if your not creative or Imagitive. Known for its Klang you'll run into some bugs along the way, but most are easy to fix in game. Truly a great game. If you don't own it start with the basic game, no dlc, and drop into a multi-play server or checkout Youtube, many many video's there. W4stedspace, splitse, and there crews will show you all you need to know if your on some fence, btw get off my fence, on weather you wanna play or not. Big Thanks to keen and all the modders from whom you "borrowed ideas" for your dlc packs. Please keep taking what I already get for free and charging me for it.

Multi player is trash. they have changed the whole start from what it used to be. no more drone to help you mine and gather. Good luck joining teams. bugged and unplayable with a friend. Me and the wife finally find a game we both want to play together and It doesn't work. It has been years in development but not an update of fix in who knows how long. Don't watch the old YouTube review video's because they aren't even what the game is now. I really liked it before. It is beautiful graphic wise. I won't try it again. once bitten . . . Let this one go.
